Wonderful and quite home on Lake Guntersville

The Lilly Pad, is located on Lake Guntersville and is a great retreat for couples, families, and fishermen to enjoy a relaxing time on the lake. Located 10 minutes from Scottsboro, Alabama and 1 hour from Chattanooga, Tennessee. Features 1600sf w/ 3 br and 2bths, and 850 sf of covered outdoor space including a screened in deck, with a hot tub and room for entertainment underneath. Several kayaks and canoes are close to water access. Boat dock is great for boats, fishing, and enjoying the water. Enjoy everything the lake has to offer as well as being close to food, shopping, and other travel destinations!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lily Pad. This is our second stay here and this was even better than the first!! Nice, clean home. They even had it smelling so fresh when we arrived. All the amenities we needed.

My family had a nice relaxing stay right after Christmas. The house has been beautifully upgraded and was very comfortable for our family of four. My husband especially enjoyed the hot tub while I enjoyed the screened in porch overlooking the lake.

Porch Dreams!

Cute, cute, cute!!! Super clean, comfy beds, everything you need. The porch was by far our favorite thing. We enjoyed lazy days, eating, fishing and watching football. Very close to restaurants and stores.

Birthday weekend for my son

My family had a great time at the property as a surprise for my sons 14th birthday. The boys enjoyed fishing off the dock and the girls enjoyed the kayak and hot tub. We had a great birthday meal that we grilled and ate on the screened in porch as a family!

Christmas Celebration

We celebrated Christmas. The weather worked out so that we were able to fish, build a bon fire, roast marshmallows and use the hot tub. The house is very cute and the beds were comfy, there was plenty of space in the kitchen for serving and storing our food. The deck is very spacious, but it was a little to chilly for us to use. It was a nice getaway for our small family.

Lovely and Clean!

We enjoyed our stay at Lily Pad. All beds were comfortable and clean. The screened in porch was our favorite location in the house! Spent our evenings relaxing and playing games in a very comfortable location. We did not enjoy the condition of the water due to extreme overgrowth of grasses. And we were unpleasantly surprised by the view of a nuclear power plant right across the river.

Great Place

Had a great few nights stay here right on the lake. They thought of everything - TV's in every room that will log you out after your stay, multiple split unit AC's so everyone have the perfect temp, great patio and outdoor spaces. If I had one complaint - and its not worth docking any points - it would be that some people might not be thrilled with the nuclear plant being across the water. It didn't bother me in the least, and I'll be back next year (hopefully).

Cozy Cabin

We decided to take a girls trip to explore the Unclaimed Baggage Store and found this adorable place on line. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out to watch tv or if we wanted the quiet to read. We were even more excited to sit at the table and watch the snow fall. We loved the porch area but it was a bit too chilly for us Florida girls to sit outside but we would have spent our entire day out there if weather had permitted! Grocery stores and restaurants were only a short distance away. The owner was so kind, attentive and easy to work with. I would have no hesitation to stay here again if we return to the area. Favorite restaurants: 50 Tators, Payne’s Sandwich Shop, Toros Cantina & Grill.

Great Lake house and better than the pictures.

Our stay was great… the host accommodations were great. We booked this house just for a couple day for a fishing/birthday getaway and was not disappointed. If looking for a place to relax it’s where you wanna go… all the furniture was very comfortable, the covered back porch was awesome to sit out at night and listen to the rain and watch some tv and relax. Or the hot tub on the bottom floor porch was just as amazing to sit in and watch the lake and the rain. Has pretty much everything you need at the lake you would want to have to relax and have a good time. We will definitely be back booking this house again. Thanks for everything

Pretty good.

The porch was lovely for gathering but the cushions were dirty. Not terrible, just distracting from the otherwise welcoming room. The dishwasher was falling apart and ultimately stopped working. A bother! Would we stay here again? Yes with the assurances that all appliances were working. The waterside view was a joy. For TV fans, there are 6 TV’s, but no reading lights in the upstairs bedrooms.

Great porch!

Pros: The space was exceptionally clean and had comfortable bed and furniture. The shower had great water pressure. It was quiet and peaceful in the house as well as on the porch. The door code we were given was incorrect but the owner responded promptly with the correct code. Cons: We arrived at dark and were unable to use the master suite downstairs because the light bulbs were out in the stairwell making it too dark to safely carry luggage down the steep stairs. Light bulbs were out on the porch, and laundry room as well. We were unable to cook food we had purchased because all of the cookware had scratched teflon coating and didn’t appear safe to use. It was just as well because there was a problem with the dishwasher making it unusable as well. I’m sure if we had taken the time to reach out to the owner he would have addressed the issues. We just didn’t want to go through the hassle. We still had a nice getaway, just had to adjust our plans on the fly. It is a comfortable little house and the porch made up for the downfalls.

Porch Therapy at its best

This property is close enough to civilization yet far enough away to unplug, unwind, and relax. The most outstanding feature of the property by far is the porch. Rain or Shine you will spend the majority of your time on the porch. During the day, you relax on the porch, reading, catching up on tv, or just listening to nature. At night you retreat to the basement master suite get into your suit and head for the hot tub which is directly below the porch. You relax in the tub, watch some tv, listen to nature and then head inside for bed. It was a true getaway. It’s also a prime location for the adventurous or the foodie. You are less than an hour from amazing barbecue in Georgia. Less than an hour from the largest underground waterfall in the United States, Ruby Falls in Chattanooga. Less than an hour for Huntsville and all it has to offer, and less than an hour from Guntersville, for which the lake that your cabin has a view of is named. Should you need something instacart and DoorDash deliver, or you can make the 20 minute drive into Scottsboro and shop at Walmart, or any number of stores and while you are there pickup local mom & pop pizza or enjoy a great Chinese buffet and Yoki. We are already counting down the days to next year when we will be back.

Beautiful home and view! We loved the porch, hot tub, and the kids were big fans of the kayaks! There were two beautiful Bald Eagles hanging around up in the trees near their nest, and that was the cherry on top for a perfect get away from our busy farming life. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderfully relaxing long weekend at The Lily Pad and spent most of the time on the screened in deck, enjoying the sounds of nature while avoiding the bugs. The kitchen was stocked well with utensils and everything needed for cooking, which was a plus. It was very clean and the host was responsive. We would definitely stay there again!
