Our first room was tide pool in Tiffany’s motel at surf city was missing a shower curtain and smelled strongly of musk and mold regardless of the dehumidifier in the room that said never to unplug. We finished bringing our belongings up to the room left a message for the host and left for dinner. We returned to the room to change and head to the beach for sunset only to find instead of bringing a shower curtain he moved us to a new room( coastal comfort also at Tiffany’s motel,Unfortunately that also meant we were locked out of our first room and our belongings including our chargers with both our phones on low battery.mind you there is no onsite staff even though it is in an old motel. 2 hours of back and forth with the host trying different codes that wouldn’t work to gain access to our things was utterly asinine! I guess it was a good thing that we were staying for two nights since this evening was shot.I'm pretty sure that the house keeping is done by the guests as the shower was dirty and food was still stuck on some of the plates and utensils, we decided not to use them although we did clean them so we would not be charged the extra cleaning fees. On the upside the second room wasn’t moldy. Do yourself a favor. Stay at a reputable hotel or Motel.
