Property requires climbing two flights of stairs and is not handicap accessible. Was not a problem for us but this needs to be made clear in websites. Rooms are spacious and building is in the center of the downtown shopping district.

I was visiting family in the area, and Holland was (a) in between my brother to the north and my sister to the south and (b) reachable by train from Chicago. (I didn't want to have to rent a car.) I was booked in the Tulyp Hotel but received notice about construction going on next door. With an Expedia discount, staying at Teerman Lofts was a bit cheaper and a lot nicer. It was an easy 15-minute roll of the suitcase from the train station, and the December weather was unusually mild the evening I arrived. My room was the Ontario, which is spacious, quiet, comfortable, and bright. It looks south out over the Hope College campus and the iconic Pillar Church. It was great to have a full kitchen at my disposal, although I ended up using it mainly to make coffee, keep beer and cheese cold, and prepare really simple things. Downtown Holland is cute and full of places to eat, drink, and shop for doo-dads. It has no grocery stores or even convenience stores, however. None. There is a sad Family Dollar and a BP station about a 20-minute walk south, but neither has anything that isn't microwaveable or processed to within an inch of its life. If you are carless like I was, you need to take an Uber or the local transport (MAX) to a Meijer or the like to get real supplies. A somewhat saving grace for me was that just a couple minutes from the lofts is Readers World, where you can buy a range of local and national newspapers.

Great loft and location close to Hope College!
We stayed in the Michigan Loft and we’re so glad we did. It worked great for my husband and I and our teenage son. The location was perfect being so close to Hope College, and the owner was great to work with.

We loved this very well-appointed, upscale loft right in the heart of one our favorite towns. Location was perfect and we had everything we needed. I highly recommend it. Only possible downside for those with mobility or accessibility issues is the pretty long staircase given they there is no elevator.

We stayed in The Superior for the last 3 days of Tulip Time and got to watch the Saturday parade from the windows overlooking 8th Street. Parking was convenient, although there are no "reserved" spots specific to the hotel that we could find. The parking permit just allows you to keep you car in the lot overnight when there is normally no overnight parking. Everything was wonderful, and even the 53 steps from the 9th street entrance or 48 steps from the 8th street entrance weren't a bother. The water pressure in the shower could be improved, but everything else about the suite was perfect!

What a beautiful Loft! So nice and spacious and contemporary decor. The location was perfect. Step outside and you are in the middle of everything! Close to the beach, restaurants, shops, and bars. We were here for a Wedding, but would love to return. Only bad thing is the stairs as I Have a bad knee, but not a deal breaker that is for sure. Thank you for a Great Experience.

Property was well maintained and owner was very friendly. Booking was fast and easy. Amenities were great. Parking was convenient. Two things that were challenging were the steps to get in the loft with luggage and the floors were very squeaky. Great experience!

Also - easy check in, reponsive owner addressed one question quickly, lovely apartment in a perfect downtown Holland location. This place can't be beat!

Much better than a hotel, these are more like self-contained condos. Very convenient to food, drinks and shipping. This was our second stay here, and if you're sensitive to sound, consider one of the units on the top floor. Foot traffic can be loud.

Had a great stay! Lots of space, and felt like a home away from home! The stairs were a bit troublesome after running a marathon, but all in all, we enjoyed the convenience of being downtown!
