"I loved this cottage, very charming. The only thing I had a problem with was the uneven walkway for my disabled husband. BUT…that was my fault for not checking if it was handicap accessible. There was a very comfortable bedroom and full bath on the first floor, and with a little help he managed just fine.The host was very responsive when we had a minor problem and all was well quickly.We loved being right in Castine, quiet but close to everything. "

"Nice rustic cottage in a great location with amazing trails on property. Cape Rosier is a gem. We had a wonderful stay. Kitchen is simple but very well equipped. Only downside for us was no grill, though that may be due to fire hazard."

"Impeccably clean - wonderfully rustic - authentic - family friendly - excellent amenities except one (although listed there was no TV) - beautifully furnished in a Maine style.- ethereal views of Seal Cove and boats at anchor - beautiful grounds - plenty of outdoor seating... near perfect, if this is what you're looking for... the only minor shortcoming was that the property management company that runs the property is not particularly responsive to questions... They do a fine job of telling you how to enter and what to do when you're leaving... but answered our specific questions only about half of the time"

"The cabin was extremely comfortable and clean and the view was superb. It was tranquil and peaceful as promised. We lucked out on the weather, 5 days of sun, with varying temperatures. Coffee on the porch most days as well as a few dinners. ( We tend to eat late, so the chill did set in a few nights.)As recommended, be sure to bring everything, food and personal care wise. Shopping IS a distance. Don't forget your bath towels. We almost did, but caught that requirement with last minute reading. Read all of the reviews. We learned a lot from them.One caution: Be sure to have a full understanding of both the distance any kayaks need to be transported down to the beach, as well as the roughness of the paths.. There are two different routes. ( If you are thirty years old, it's a piece of cake, if not... we weren't ) The kayaking itself was fantastic. Got quite a workout . Great coves off the main cove in the Weir inlet) The HILL was emphasized. It wasn't that bad unless you met another car on the road. then it got interesting. Lots of games and books for all members of the family.A great experience."
