We had a wonderful spacious room with good wifi and quality towels. Good parking right outside our room, and the bed was comfortable. Checkin was easy with the owner. We would definitely come back.

Fantastic place to stay, very convenient location being walking distance to the centre of Hokitika. Great facilities which included a six hole mini golf course our kids loved and played numerous times!

Clean and tidy, located on main road, however there was no traffic noise. Off street parking. Easy walk to centre of town and the main beach by road, or on the boardwalk. Suited our needs.

good location, close to city center and nice family pub around corner which has great meals. lounge furniture very uncomfortable and stained. kitchen had everything needed. cleaning not done daily but that was ok.

Spacious room, very clean. Great location as within walking distance of shops, supermarket, beach, restaurants and bars. Right next to a train track but only 2 trains each 24 hours while we were there so hardly a major deal. Bathroom sink could use a plug and if you like a harder pillow like me, best take your own. Overall though, great motel and when we're back in Hokitika, we'll stay here again without hesitation.

Modern room but in desperate need of a plumber the kitchen tap leaked. The tap for the toilet was turned off so we turned it on only to find in the morning that it had been leaking and half flooded the bathroom.

SUPERB

SUPERB!!! ...Yes I know I'm yelling. This motel was a great find. We were travelling to Auckland from the South Island. Night time and in torrential rain we had to travel behind two trucks with trailers spewing road water onto our windscreen since Waiouru. Enough we said lets stop at Taupo. The roadside board advertised special rates. We got this, a lakeside view, a unit with a private geothermal water plunge pool, and a host that has a genuine interest in us [the customer]. In the morning on departure we were given two bottles of water [with the motel's own label - good advertising]

Beds were comfortable No aircon or fans supplied in units. Very hot.. ants came through bathroom window so had to keep it closed. No fans in bathroom. No reception staff until 2pm even though website said they'd be present 9am to 9pm. No one answered the phone.

Reception not open after 5pm ish. Did not answer phone and had to buzz numerous times to get someone. Laundry - the lady charged me $5 per wash and $5 per dry. Didn’t realize till later that on the wall in the room was info on laundry and it stated $2 per wash, $2 per dry, and $1 for soap. So I was overcharged $6 (I have my own soap). Left too early to complain.
