"I was impressed with everything in the room except the carpeting had some awful stains on it"

"We enjoyed our stay at Spring House Inn. It reminded us of staying in a state park lodge. It is on a large property with a creek, lots of trees, plenty of parking. Our room was large, clean, and quiet. Breakfast offerings included eggs, sausage, waffles, and yogurt. The hotel is very convenient for a visit to near-by Indiana Dunes National Park (visitor center is about a 6 minute drive). We would stay again. In terms of feeling safe and nearness to the park, the surrounding area is great. It is very residential. There is a pizza restaurant next door. No other shops or businesses in the surrounding blocks. "

"The property is right in the middle of everything which is so convenient!! Me and my youngest daughter stayed for 4 days and really enjoyed it! We went shopping, ate at a few of the local restaurants, rode the train to Chicago, and went to the beach! It is an older hotel so there's no elevator so keep that in mind if you decide to stay here, staff was great and the place was clean!! We will be back!! "

"The room was very clean and the ved was extremely comfortable. I loved the view of the lake and the balcony was just big enough for me to do yoga in the morning. Some of the interior could use some replacements and renovations, but it was comfortable and affordable. "
