Nobu Hotel Marrakech

10/10 Excellent

"The arrival and check in was so easy with the very friendly staff. While I was having a welcome tea, in the air conditioned lobby, the front desk was taking care of all the paperwork. The room facing the street was excellent. The double glazing windows keep the room silent while the street atmosphere is quite charming. The rooftop pool is spectacular with breathtaking view of the city and the High Atlas in the background. Hotel transportation is readily available for $10 anywhere you want to go in the city. Nobu is located in the new part of town, right outside of the wall of the Medina. It’s a perfect location. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff so well mannered that makes you want to hang out and chat. I highly recommend this property."

"The service from various staff were inconsistent. The individuals working the gate entrance were fantastic. Always attentive to get us a cab or car as we head out no matter the time of day or nights. However the concierge was at times rude or dismissive. I requested a bottle of water and was scolded and told I should get it from the bar. I informed him that the atm screen was not working and he directed me to use the machine outside when in face there isn’t another ATM machine outside the hotel; rather it’s about a block away called bank of Africa. No one approached me at pool side for service. At breakfast, the waiter couldn’t get my coffee order correct. While sitting in the lounge just outside the hotel, I watched as tea was offered to other guests present and I was ignored. As a woman of color, I’m just irritated in being in a space and either not being seen or being treated with disrespect even at a 5 star hotel."

"Our stay at the Savoy Le Grand Marrakech was absolutely fantastic. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms were spotless, and the housekeeping team did an excellent job every single day. Every member of staff we encountered throughout the hotel was warm, friendly, welcoming, and genuinely made us feel at home. The level of hospitality was outstanding, and it really made our stay special. Unfortunately, the spa was a completely different experience and the only disappointing part of our stay. I was refused a massage because I have a very small amount of psoriasis. I found this extremely upsetting and unprofessional. After I questioned their decision and explained that it is a mild, non-contagious skin condition, they suddenly changed their minds and said they would carry out the massage after all. By that point, however, I no longer felt comfortable. To make matters worse, the spa staff were giggling together in French while discussing the situation, which made me feel judged and embarrassed. Whether they were talking about me or not, it was completely inappropriate and left me with no confidence in receiving treatment, so I decided not to go ahead with the massage. It was a real shame because the spa experience fell far below the exceptional standards of the rest of the hotel. Despite this, I would absolutely return to the Savoy Le Grand Marrakech because every other aspect of our stay was excellent. Next time, however, I’ll be booking my spa treatments elsewhere."

"Liked Kind helpful staff everywhere Room fine Grounds lovely and well kept Food good variety, bbq outside usually good call, pizza nice, breakfast fresh made Moroccan pancakes, adult seating area always had space and was peaceful AI drinks good, beer fine, cocktails made fresh. Orderly lines to get served Other holiday makers good, didn’t see pushing in etc Medina area not as busy etc as I expected. Traders friendly but they are pros so don’t expect great deals! Price was pretty low so overall fantastic value for money. Possibly best vfm I ve had Airport was breeze both ways, straight through although again I recognise has a bad rap and we may have been lycky Not liked Main thing is distance from Marrakesh, need transport to get there. Have free/ cheap coach in (depending on time). We often took taxis but reckon they saw us coming and we paid over but hey!"

"We had a fantastic experience staying here. The absolute highlight of my stay was the amazing breakfast. There was an incredible variety of delicious options, and everything tasted fresh and high-quality. Beyond the food, the hotel was clean, comfortable, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend staying here, if only for the breakfast alone! I will definitely be back."
