"A Week at Ocean El Faro and had a really enjoyable all-inclusive experience overall. The resort is beautiful, modern, and very large, with lots to explore. The lighthouse area stands out and gives it a unique feel. Be ready to walk a fair bit, though there are carts to help get around. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Housekeeping was consistent, and kept the minibar stocked. There were a few minor signs of wear, but nothing that affected our stay. Food worked especially well for our family. Our kids actually preferred the buffet because they could choose exactly what they wanted, which made meals easy and stress-free. There was plenty of variety, and the dessert section was a highlight for them every day. The pools and beach were great, with options for both lively and relaxing vibes. The lazy river was a fun bonus. The beach was ok for the location with some occasional seaweed that staff did manage. Drawback: rocks all around so I would recommend watershoes. Go out in water directly infront of light house seemed to have less. There was always something happening, from daytime activities to evening shows, which were fun and well done. Staff were friendly overall, though service could vary at times. And slower during busy periods. (not a deal breaker) It’s not ultra-luxury, but it offers solid value. Overall, a great family resort with plenty to do and a relaxed atmosphere. My family created some amazing memories here and the price was right."

"Estuve hospedándome en el RIU Republica en Punta Cana los pasados 5 días y la experiencia no fue muy agradable. Tenía altas expectativas ya que lo mercadean como un hotel 5 estrellas y no llega ni a 3 estrellas. Con anterioridad a mi llegada, tenía varias dudas por aclarar y nunca conseguí contactarlos por teléfono. En cuanto a las facilidades del hotel, la máquina de hielo no servía, los restaurantes tenían dañados los aires acondicionados, los baños comunes estaban en pésimas condiciones, en la playa no habían sombrillas disponibles y el área se veía abandonada. Además, había peste a mangle bien desagradable por todo el hotel. En las habitaciones, no había crema, gorros de baño y el shampoo y jabón eran de muy mala calidad, hasta apestaban. El hotel no tiene actividades recreativas ni de día ni de noche. Además, la comida y las bebidas alcohólicas eran pésimas. No recomiendo este hotel a NADIE."

"Very beautiful! Has everything you would need no need to go off the resort! Beautiful bars and shops . Lots of entertainment. Very hard with a kid who has allergies to communicate with the buffet and restaurant. I felt they could have helped us write something to explain in Spanish for the cooks and staff. They had allergy cards but half of them still didn't understand . Did not understand cross contamination and not to put food on same grill as they cooked cheese with a dairy allergy:( other than that everything was magnificent!"

"The staff was spectacular. The animation incredible especially Yailin la mas viral & Maria. They definitely made this experience worth the while. Beautiful beach & so many pools. Loved the children’s area which I plan to come back for with my child. This is my second time here & I am so excited to come back very soon. Thank you everyone!!"

"I absolutely had a great experience overall staying at this hotel. My room was one of the best rooms I've ever stayed in! Absolutely felt at home and comfortable. The food and pool were great. The drinks from any of the bars were top-notch! Bartenders and servers were very friendly! So much fun, and we do plan to go back if we never have to deal with one person ever again. The salesperson who sat us down was an absolute waste of our time. He was extremely condescending and one of the worst salespeople I've ever dealt with, especially on vacation when everything else was so good.
