Hilmar Country Plaza Tours and Activities

This was a really easy stay! The room was more spacious than I anticipated, particularly the bathroom. Everything was clean, cute, and thoughtful. Theres a cute little restaurant attached to the hotel, they didn't open until 5pm on Friday, but opened at 3pm on Saturday. I was worried there would be too much noise with guests in the courtyard having drinks, but with the aircon between me and the very tame guests it wasn't an issue. Still, they provided a sound machine and VERY good ear plugs (which kept out the sound of my partner tapping and clicking away at this computer). Malin + Goetz toiletries were a nice touch, I appreciated the toothpaste packets from the lobby when we realized we didn't bring enough ourselves. The lobby coffee was quite helpful while I was on east coast time and... well LBC wasn't. The neighborhood was fine, walkable for a confident New Yorker. We had breakfast at the Breakers and had dinner and drinks an uber ride away. The pool was a bit chilly for my taste, but it was also not a hot day the only time I stepped in. I don't fault them for it!
