"This stay was a family trip to visit relatives, ages ranged from50’s-90’s & included our small dogs. There was enough parking for us (2 cars, but up to 4 when the relatives were there), and it was fairly easy to get my cousins with mobility issues inside (1 step up to the porch/door, then 1 step in). Taking them out to the pool area was more difficult as there were more steps & no handrail, but we were able to manage with all of us helping (1 cousin on walker, one with cane). At night it is really dark-we never found the switch to turn on lights by the garage, only the porch light-so we used flashlights when taking the dogs for a walk. The house was comfortable-big enough to spread out but not so big that it isn’t cozy. We had the pool heated & were able to swim each day we were there. We had to wear flip flops around the pool deck b/c so many nuts were falling they were everywhere. It was a very quiet & peaceful neighborhood. The deer were everywhere! Our last night there were 5 bucks and 12-15 does at one time in the grassy area behind the backyard. We absolutely loved our stay & are already looking to see when we could go back!"

"We really enjoyed how peaceful it was. It was perfect for us. A little dated on the exterior but the interior was clean and had plenty of room for the 3 of us. Kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of utensils, pots, pans, glassware, plates, full block of knives and even a wine opener and pizza wheel. Grocery stores are a short drive if you want to stay in and make your own meals. Small grills outside also. The white tail deer are amazing, and we saw plenty of them. Fawns, does and bucks. Some bucks still in velvet during our visit. Fredericksburg is a 2-hour drive for the wine enthusiasts. Lockhart is 1 hr. 15-minute drive for the BBQ enthusiasts. "
