"This is a beautiful lakefront property with a large deck and fire pit which was a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the view. Higgins Lake is so clear and blue! The inside was clean and well appointed. The kitchen was well equipped for any type of cooking. The dining table was large and was situated right between a huge picture window and beautiful stone fireplace. There is also a large TV room with lots of seating. The three bedrooms were spacious and well decorated with good pillows and bedding. Bathrooms were very clean and the water pressure was great...also no issue with running out of hot water!! And it was hot...not tepid like some other places I have contracted with. There is a separate "bunk room" building that we did not use but it was really nice. It had a nice front porch with furniture. There was a little kitchenette with a refrigerator, coffeemaker and it may have had a microwave but I don't remember. There was also a full bath which was nice. Great place for kids/teenagers. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it...an especially nice touch was a Welcome S'mores basket to enjoy around the firepit."

"Couldn’t have asked for a better experience and living space. Although the property doesn’t look great from the street, don’t let it fool you. It’s a beautiful cottage with a spacious backyard and amenities. The host was responsive to requests and very accommodating."

"The beds are comfortable, the living room set up is great. The refrigerator was clean except the water purifier pitcher has mold- we did not use. The shower curtain liner was covered with soap scum but I think that should be changed every visit. The kitchen chairs need a good cleaning and the pots, pans, utensils need to be gone over. Found a lot of food debris- there is not a dish washer and guests do not wash the dishes thoroughly. We did not use the drying rack as it is rusty and dirty. I washed all the eating utensils and any pan we used prior to using. The location is great. The grill was readily available. The fire pit was VERY nice even though we did not use. The outside patio and stairs probably need to be power washed- a lot of mold. Stairs are not bad except last 3 have no hand railing which makes the difficult. The washer dryer in basement was a huge help. We washed the bathroom rugs the first day as they were obviously used a lot. The rugs in the house were a tripping hazard- they are not stuck to the floor and slip easily. They were well used and needed washing. Several of us tripped more than once. The comforters are not washed between visits. In general the accommodations are nice but a good thorough cleaning was definitely needed. The host was very good. I did not complain or notify her because I think it’s probably just the way it is. Again the location is excellent and the living room set up great."
