South Higgins Lake Park King Bed Game Room 75" TV Firepit Fireplace SUP AC

"We enjoyed our stay at the property. The host provided us with everything we needed to make us feel welcome. The place was bigger than we expected and they have maximized the space. The covered porch was great for enjoying the outdoors bug free. We had a bonfire with some friends had ample chairs provided. The clubhouse was a nice touch for keeping us entertained. There was a shed that we had access to for storing our bikes, kayaks and tubes. The kitchen was nicely stocked with all the essentials for food prep and cooking. We took advantage of the gas grill and did some grilling. The dishwasher made clean up easy. There were plenty of towels and a washer and dryer to keep things tidy. There is so much to do in that area from biking, hiking, kayaking/tubing the Au Sable, to floating and boating on Higgins Lake. The property provided two SUPs which is a nice touch. We look forward to our next stay and we are happy to share our positive experience."

"House was very clean and well maintained. We have rented many homes around Higgins Lake and this home was the most well equipped of any home we have rented. Even full supply of fire wood for the fire pit! We would not hesitate to rent this home again!"

"Perfect location very close to South Higgins Lake State Park, Ice Cream shops, and a dollar general. Very cute cabin with retro throw backs (which we loved). VHS Tapes, Nintendo 64 with games, coloring books and crayons. Host also provided almost everything needed (such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and cooking supplies). The lake was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay."

Cozy Blue Cabin at Higgins Lake

"Accurate photos & description, yet still much nicer in person. My partner & I stayed with our two senior dogs for two nights but wished we could’ve stayed longer. The neighborhood is quiet and densely forested with conifers, maples, & several other mature native trees. Very close to Higgins Lake, not far from Marl lake. Space was clean, well maintained, & well stocked with utensils, linens, cookware, & toiletries. Standard ceiling NOT a drop ceiling, & no sign of insects, mold or mildew (I have a severe allergy so this was extremely important!). Shower/bathtub had good pressure, pretty instant hot water. WIFI worked well, so did the TV, had several fun boardgames for all ages. Gas stove worked well & had a well seasoned cast iron griddle. All appliances seemed to be in good condition/working order. AC unit worked well in cooling/filtering the entire space. There are approx. 3 small stairs to get on the decks to get in the doors but the furniture is all lower to the ground & comfortable. Check in/out was seamless with a lockbox. The Host was courteous, accommodating, & prompt to reply, she was also easy to reach. The Wifi worked well. We unfortunately could not make use of the lovely yard or spend much time outside due to the Canadian forest fire smoke/impact on the air quality index, so we spent nearly the entire time indoors; not our original plan but still a nice time. We feel we need to return to have the full experience of this delightful cozy place. Would recommend."
