Higashi Ward in Kumamoto Prefecture offers a pleasant experience for travellers throughout much of the year, but the best times to visit are generally spring (late March to early May) and autumn (October to November).Spring is particularly lovely, as the weather is mild and comfortable, great for exploring the ward's outdoor attractions. This season also brings cherry blossoms, with popular viewing spots like the Kumamoto Prefectural Botanical Park and Kumamoto Castle (just outside Higashi Ward but easily accessible) in full bloom, creating picturesque scenery.Autumn also provides agreeable weather, with cooler temperatures and clear skies, ideal for sightseeing and enjoying outdoor activities. The changing leaves offer a beautiful backdrop, especially in parks and gardens throughout the area. While summer (June to September) can be hot and humid with a higher chance of rain, and winter (December to February) can be chilly, these seasons still have their merits depending on your preferences.
