"Masters Retreat is a great rental in a perfect location. Very cozy and homey. Took the row boat out on the quiet lake and caught Northern, small mouth bass, bluegills, pumpkin seeds and some very small perch. Also lots of wildlife. Every morning and evening the deer showed up in the yard…ducks on the pier…trumpeter swans on the shore…and an eagle flying overhead. We loved sitting on the deck overlooking the lake.The only small issue was some key kitchen items were missing (we left a note so hopefully will be resolved for the next guests).Overall a great experience here and would highly recommend."

"The cleanest VRBO stay I’ve experienced by a mile. The owners stay there 1/2 the time so it’s well cared for and spotless. So many games, great outdoor space etc. Zero bugs, paddle boat, kayaks all free of charge to use which was so nice. The lake is muck-bottom in that part but it’s easy enough to find sandy shores paddling a little ways out. Host was very responsive, clear view of the Milky Way, remote and lovely. Great hiking in the area as well as attractions. Good jumping off midway point between Munising/superior and Lake Michigan. Things I didn’t like were the water was very irony- bring your own bottled. There was also no dishwasher or washing machine. That gorgeous updated kitchen fooled me into thinking there would be one but it is truly an up north cabin. Not much closet space, could use more hooks and hangers. Like others have mentioned, you can see from one adult bedroom into the other. There was an issue with the freezer and fridge being ajar when I arrived but I fixed the freezer part. The fridge door needed to be pushed on hard to make sure it closed. I also bought s’mores stuff but could not find any skewers/metal fire fork things so went without. I’m used to there being cooking spray, water if it’s undrinkable, and basic salt and pepper at places like this but the hosts ask you not to use “pantry items” so I’m not sure if that is included - BYO. A great, relaxing trip - loved the critters of the UP book and guide-book/binder/pamphlets!"

"What a fun house to come to? We were a family of 9 with teenagers, and we had a nice time! The house was hard to find when we tried to use the GPS as our host had said, but we went by the landmarks and address and found it easy. We liked the open concept, and open kitchen. Unfortunately, it was a little dirty in the kitchen, and whoever used it last did not wash the dishes but put them back in the cupboards so we did a lot of rewashing, but the host was glad we told him about it. The kids loved the game room. And we were glad to have the back deck to grill on. It gets very dark there, and quiet, which was another bonus!We would definitely come back, but would suggest the host get extra nightlights for the bottom of both stairways. Thank you! "

It was just what we were looking for, away from the hustle and bustle of everything in a beautiful, peaceful setting by a lake. The cabin had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The kids loved hanging out in the loft. My favorite part was watching the beautiful sunsets from the dock. Hope to visit again!"
