    The Space:

The Dale Cottage is a well-appointed, end-terrace cottage situated just off the town square in Allendale, in South West Northumberland. This cottage sleeps six people in two family bedrooms with en-suites. The rest of the property contains an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove. To the outside of the property there is off road parking for one car and and enclosed lawned garden with patio and furniture. The Dale Cottage is ideal for couples and families looking to explore this region of Northumberland with walks, cycling and Hadrian's Wall all nearby. Please note: This property only accepts Friday-Friday or Friday-Monday bookings.

    The Neighborhood:

The town of Allendale was once the centre of a busy lead mining area, and many relics of the mining era remain around the area. Allendale is ideally placed for access to Carlisle to the west, Hexham to the east or the Roman Wall just to the north. There are lots of walks and unspoilt villages in the area, which is an ideal location for exploring the surrounding countryside or travelling further north to the glorious Heritage Coastline.

AN IDEAL STAY!

The property was warm and VERY cosy. The real christmas tree was a fabulous addition. Spacious and well equipped throughout. Everything you could possibly want in holiday accomodation. The hosts were available and there to help should any issue arrise. Attention to detail. The log burner made it very snug. This is the second time we have stayed there and definately going to be going back. Its a fabulous stay. Would reccomend.
