"When I arrived and checked in which took forever. Then the elevator didn’t work so had to lug all the bags up the stairs. I went to get ice and the ice machine didn’t work and both coke machines were empty of everything. I advised the young lady at the desk and she didn’t say anything about having it checked out. I contacted hotels.com and asked for a credit toward my stay. They called the hotel and they lied saying everything worked and they refused a credit. The only good thing about the stay...

"Great hotel to stay, and very clean! Very comfortable beds and fantastic breakfast!! I stayed a couple of nights in December to visit Christmas lights at Bellingrath Gardens and came back in June. I recommend this hotel and I will be visiting again!"

"Staff was friendly. Room was horrible. I will never stay here again unless my life literally depends on it. Cigarette holes in the blankets, black mold in the bathroom, mold growing up the wall… it was so disgusting and dirty. I literally crawled up in a ball, fell asleep, and got the h3ll out of there the next morning. Was just passing through town. "

"Great location, new flooring, new furniture & new bedding. The staff is very helpful. Exterior of building sidewalks & parking lots are full of cig butts and desperately need blown off or picked up. Ice machine inopt. Hotel has tons of potential. Curbside cleanliness & appeal are lacking. Lobby is very inviting though. Would be great if breakfast was served. I Would’ve paid more money per night for that convenience. "

"We love the location but the hotel has definitely gone down hill in looks over the years. Rooms are tired. Breakfast area is very tired looking. Definitely not up to Hilton/Hampton standards but you can’t beat the location so we continue to stay. "

"Rooms are wonderful. More spacious than most hotel rooms. Beds and bedding very comfortable. Everything very updated. Breakfast looked good. I didn’t see any danish, cinnamon rolls, or similar. That would have been nice. Coffee was very good. Will definitely stay again. "
