In terms of cleanliness, a tidy bathroom, and a backyard garden, this hotel provides the most satisfactory accommodations. Notably, they provide complimentary breakfast, which is a highly valued amenity.
The host was most helpful when I got there and have not received a door code as I only booked an hour before. It is an old manor house with lovely creaky floors and doors. It was very clean and smelled lovely. The room was adequate, the bathroom clean enough.
The hotel is in a good location in nice surroundings, although the road noise was significant overnight. The hotel in general is tired and the room had a musty mould smell which was overpowering. No one on reception so call a number to get the code to enter, then another code to get the key for your room. Breakfast was packed up and left outside the room door in the morning, but was sufficient and suited me as had to be away early. Would have appreciated better coffee.
When I booked this the impression was of a much nicer place. It's very dated, old and grotty. They did leave a bagged breakfast in the room that was good and very nice of them. The wording in the booking was 'upmarket' which clearly is untrue. Even the map location is incorrect by some 100+ metres meaning I had to call the property.
I would not stay again and sadly can't recommend it. It's not even especially cheap given the competition locally.

Friendly staff, comfortable room and great breakfast.
This is the creepiest place I have ever been.
The best moment is the day I left. This place should not be in business, this place should be shut down by the Environmental Health Authorities. It isn’t worth even half of a star.
The property needed lots of TLC in all areas. The breakfast was low average and was delivered in a paper bag with cold snacks. I would nt recommend to any one
This property is not what is shown in the photos . The hotel is run down , grass is over grown , bathroom dirty with cracks and tiles , TV not working is at it should with lines down it , missing light bulbs , cracked tile , bedside Lamp not working , wires hanging from the TV ,dirty blinds, dirty towels , dining room not used for breakfast , its closed and has been for sometime , breakfast was advertised as a buffet it was in a bag not a buffet . Bath panel cracked and not connected to the bath. Smell in room , had to buy a candle and febreeze.
I appreciate that in life “you get what you pay for” and this hotel is on the lower end of price scale however the room was beyond dirty. The only thing that was clean was the bed linen, thankfully The floor didn’t look like it had been hoovered in weeks, the little dressing table and bedside table were sticky and covered in crumbs as was the stool. There were slug trails visible on the carpet and sure enough when I got back at 2230 there was one in the bathroom and one by the dressing table. Don’t put anything (and I mean anything) on the floor. Also breakfast is a to-go bag and to be honest based on what I’d seen I wasn’t unhappy that all the food was pre packed.
Nothing fancy about Hipbone but it was pleasant enough, we were visiting the racehorse + it was about half a mile away which was ideal.
Breakfast was ok, a bit cold but I didn't complain.
Damp smell in room, carpet looked like it had been down for years, car park was a swamp after the rain, bed was ok, didn't get to sample breakfast so can t comment on that.
Room was definitely dated, there were cobwebs in the bathroom, looked like haven't had a wipe down, room is musty. Breakfast was good and enough parking for hotel guests. Location sign needs to be lit up so it could be easily located. No access to lounge or dining room after hours which was inconvenient for families that want to have take away dinner in the hotel. Overall stay was 5/10 for me.
Accommodation was in a large house with very large rooms, so there was plenty of space. The bathroom was modern with supplied shower gel and shampoo. Breakfast was generous with both continental and hot food available. The hot food was in a Bain Marie. If other eggs than scrambled were required, you only had to ask. Although everything was clean, there was an ‘old’ smell when entering the house. This was the only real negative, other than the property being too far from Hereford to walk in. We would definitely stay there again if visiting the UK.
The fact that no staff are onsite was unusual to say the least and made us feel very isolated and slightly uncomfortable, given that there we also did not see any other guests. Property looks ok from the exterior but Rooms are dated and very dark and certainly need some refurbishing and modernisation. Hot water takes a lifetime to kick in. Probably would not have stayed if it was longer than 1 night.
Rooms were very old and dark, property looked like it needed a good overhaul and clean. We later on discovered that the accommodation is used for emergency accommodation for the homeless.

Overnight stay near central Hereford
Useful location for central Hereford. Room was comfortable if a little cool, with only one of the heaters working. Breakfast was good.
