We've stayed at Poppy Cottage for the second time and it was just as cozy, clean and nicely decorated as we remembered it- you feel at home right away!
Here for a winter short break. Paula the owner is lovely and was so accommodating and helpful after our situation led us to change dates. Lovely spotless accommodation with scones and cream upon arrival. 5-10 mins walk to cadgwith and pub is amazing with really friendly owners. Ducks and goats a welcome when you are outside. Super cute. I hope to be back.
amazing cottage i(Poppy) n a great location, spotlessly clean , well equipped and so peaceful. , the welcome cream tea was lovely. ideal spot for a great Cornish adventure
This is a great place to stay. Great location which is just a short walk down to the cove. The house itself has everything you could want for a couple or small family. We tboroughly enjoyed our stay and if we are ever back in the area we wouldbt hestate to book again.
The cottage was an ideal location & well appointed. Directly on the coast path and a short walk into the fishing village of Cadgwith, with a welcoming village pub. The accomodation is a short drive to nearby beaches suitable for swimming & other water sports.
A lovely, well maintained cottage set away from the road and near the SW Coast path. Very clean and well equipped, very welcoming (the cream tea was lovely). A lot of thought had been given to providing the little extras, including accurate and humorous directions, which put us firmly in the holiday mood.
We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Paulas cottage. The cottage itself is just a cozy and wonderfuls place to stay, it is well equipped and decorated, you feel just at home. Paula is a really kind and helpful host and we enjoyed every minute of our stay in this beautiful cottage by the sea. We loved being so close to the ocean and the ocean coastal walks!
A lovely cottage in beautiful countryside with some tantalising views of f the sea. The cottage was warm and welcoming - a great place from which to explore the Lizard and to walk our socks off! Our dog was initially unsure about the goats!
This was our 3rd year which probably tells you all you need to know. The location is good & offers easy walking access to both the coastal path & also Cadgwith itself. Highly recommended.
Poppy cottage was the perfect stay for our first ever visit to Cornwall! Paula was very helpful and the cream tea on arrival was a lovely surprise! The location is great, very close to the local pub and the coastal path literally at the end of the garden! The cottage was very clean, cosy and peaceful- amazing for star gazing at night! Thank you Paula, I'm sure we will be back!
Very comfortable, all the essentials you need, good Wifi to keep the kids happy, Great location for access to the coastal path. Cadgwith is a lovely little village. Lizard 10 mins away by car. St Michaels Mount about 40mins drive. We were lucky with the weather for a pre-Easter break with very few people around. Very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable break.
This was the 4th year in a row which probably tells you all you need to know. The property & location is excellent which is why we continue returning & also why we’ll probably be back again next year!
Endearing, cosy little Cottage with everything that we would like in a self catering unit. Communication, arrival information and directions were clear and concise. Beautifully maintained garden with it's own footpath onto the SW Coastpath.
It was a great find for exploring the Lizard. Both the property and grounds were immaculate. The accommodation had everything we needed and it was beautifully decorated. The welcome scones were a lovely touch. It was lovely to have the animals so close to the property. The host was also very welcoming. I would definitely recommend this property and we would love to return sometime.sconesdecorated
Poppy cottage exceeded all our expectations.
It was immaculate, comfortable and situated in a stunning peaceful location next to the coastal path with cadgwith cove just down the road
Cream tea and milk was a lovely welcome surprise
The fresh eggs from the ducks and chickens and the pygmy goats were all a pleasant addition
Paula was such a friendly hostess and happy to help anytime
We had a wonderful time thank you
For our second visit to Cadgwith we booked the Poppy property (our first was in Henrietta, the converted and extended railway wagon).
Cannot fault the experience - the property was spotless and excellently presented. There was an outside area with table and barbeque if needed, gated so we could let the dog out if needed without worry. The kitchen area, bathroom and bedrooms were all in great order.
The area around Cadgwith is stunning and comes highly recommended - take your pick from The Lizard, Kynance Cove, Kennack Sands or Mullion, or simply take a walk down to the harbour for some lovely views of the sea and valley.
All in all, a terrific place to stay.
The host provided very good communication and decorated the cottage with a Christmas tree and festive lights. There was a nice welcome tray of scones, cream and jam and little xmas goodies
