I really love staying at this hotel. I frequently travel to Espoo and i enjoy my stay there. breakfast is reelly good and worth it. a mall with supermarkets, bars etc is right next to the hotel, public transportation and restaurants are nearby. sauna could be bigger and men and women are separated in the sauna which can be a plus if you travel alone especially as a women, but negative if you travel with your partner.

Great overnight stay and fantastic breakfast!

EXCELLENT stay (but no A/C for non-hotel rooms)

Stayed in the long-term apartment style rooms. Helsinki was going through a heat wave and there is NO A/C in the rooms. The balconies also face south, so they get hot and the windows open over the balcony so you get hot air coming through. This is not a complaint but a heads up for the issue if you are going in the summer time. Rooms were EXCELLENT. In-room washer/dryer, great kitchenette, included breakfast every day saved us thinking about one meal in the day. Love this place and would stay there again. Front desk manager was an excellent resource when we had a trip interruption due to a health issue.

Comfortable mid range hotel. I've stayed here many times. Peaceful, easy access to public transport, shopping mall nearby, tidy, straightforward, practical, private. Nothing to complain about.

The hotel was very good! Quick and easy to check in, nice staff at the reception. The room was well cleaned and very fresh. Can recommend this hotel as the location is also very good. Close to metro and buses. Located next to a large shopping mall.

Loved Hotel Matts so much! Highly recommend. Stayed in the Apartment side and it was wonderful, so spacious, so quiet, but also felt like home because you have a kitchen and laundry. The room was spotless, staff was lovely, and the on site restaurant Freja was so amazing. We ate there almost every night our last week and it was consistently so good. The apartment side is like having an Airbnb but much better because you get the perks of staying in a hotel, like 24 hour staff, onsite restaurant, and sauna. I extended my stay multiple times, and each time, the staff had my keys ready to go with a smile. It was really nice because in most hotels there's always a huge disconnect with extending the room, so I greatly appreciated their efforts. They even left a handwritten birthday card for me in my room when I arrived. I would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking at somewhere really nice to stay in Espoo, especially the proximity to the mall, Iso Omena, is so convenient to get groceries and go shopping. The only negative was the bed pillows. They are really not up to hotel standard and should be replaced with a higher quality pillow. But other than that, I cannot recommend Hotel Matts enough.

Excellent hotel and good value

Excellent hotel, very clean and well run. Very good value for the price. Breakfast was a bit average (included) and the sauna, which is very nice, was only available 7-9pm. All round though it was a great stay and would certainly stay again if visiting Espoo or the Iso-Omena.
