Pepe's casa was very well situated close to Central Park and all the historic sites, but on a very quiet street. The area felt very safe. The apartment is well secured but the room didn't have a safe. The room is on the 5th floor, so be prepared to walk up and down the steps. The room is comfortable with a small bar fridge to keep your drinks cold. A highlight was a lovely outdoor terrace with seating overlooking the town. Pepe speaks good English and is very helpful with recommendations for local eateries. Pepe recommended El Dandy, a block away, and we ate breakfast there frequently. He also arranged a taxi collectivo to take us from Havana to Trinidad at $35 US per person. We would highly recommend taking the free walking tour of Old Havana from Central Park at 9:30 each morning.

The owner Pepe made my stay in Havana amazing! The property is in a great location and has many good places to eat only a few minutes walk away. Pepe was very welcoming and incredibly helpful in sharing local knowledge (as well as great coffee) throughout my stay. He gave great advice and enabled me to really make the most of my time in Havana. Tip for anyone traveling to Havana it is safe but you will regularly be asked by random people on the street for the time or where are you from/ nice shoes etc just walk past they are just wanting money. Unfortunately this happened very often but you have to be firm and less British in saying no and carrying on with your day.

Estimado huesped.Personas como usted no son bienvenidos en mí propiedad a pesar de que usted no cumplió con las normas y reglas de la casa.A pesar de su mala recomendación fuí muy amable y le ofrecí agua, café, internet y comida gratis.No veo porqué de su mal recomendación.Usted se aparece en mí propiedad con un chico prostituto que había conocido por internet ( nunca antes físicamente) y que podía perfectamente ser su nieto porque era 46 años menor que usted.Es lamentable y vergonzoso y si no le cerré las puertas antes fué pExpr respetar mi acuerdo con Expedia pero realmente no quisiera nunca tener que recibir en mi propiedad a personas como usted que solo vienen a mi país buscando sexo con jovencitos.

Ud hizo reserva para 1 sola persona,no obstante le permitimos con otro acompañante.Yo Pepe como anfitrión fui muy amable e incluso le permitirá que usara mi cocina que no está en el contrato de arrendamiento.Ud me mostró fotos de un hotel en la Florida, Miami con pésimas condiciones y sucio.En su habitación ud tuvo sábanas y toallas blancas y limpias, además de la habitación impecable.El problema de ud darme una evaluación tan pésima es porque me rompieron una de las lámparas de noche y sin decir nada, además que no pagaron la rotura,casi sufro un accidente y me corto la mano.Uds bebieron vino toda la noche y es posible de ése accidente, también me tuvieron mucho tiempo con la caja fuerte de su habitación porque no entendían la combinación.Acaso ustedes vienen de una selva?Mi alojamiento se reserva el derecho de no volver a rentarlos nunca más.No queremos en nuestra propiedad a personas tan desagradables como ustedes.Más bien soy yo quien les debería dar una evaluación de indeseables y por otra parte cobrarles la rotura de la lámpara y la estancia del otro acompañante que ud no declaró cuando hizo la reservación.

Great place with a great host.
I totally recommend this place! The property is lovely and Pepe is an excellent host. I was travelling alone and have PTSD (war veteran) so I need to feel safe. Pepe’s place was ideal for me. It’s an oasis of calm and safety in a vibrant and busy city. The room was clean and comfortable with AC that was old but it worked fine. Pepe was brilliant! He gave ma advice about staying safe, recommended great places to eat, told me about common local scams to look out for and gave me advice about changing money safely. If you have time for a chat and a cup of his amazing coffee, Pepe is an interesting guy with friends all over the world. One day I will return! Thank you Pepe!

Located in a very convenient area where most of tourist attractions are of walking distance. The casa overall is nice and clean and gives off vintage feels. Host is very friendly, has good communication, goes above and beyond to help the customers. Would highly recommend if you want an affordable and clean place to stay

We stayed at Pepe's for one night and got the Havana experience we were looking for. It was in close walking distance to the Capitol, the Plazas, Squares and other sites the tours will take you to. But the property is in the heart of Old Havana were locals are going about their daily lives. We always felt safe, although chose not to stay out too long after dark as the streets got pretty quiet. Pepe was a great host and gave us great recommendations and directions, as well as arranging our transportation back to Varadero for much less than we had expected to pay. The property is a beautiful apartment on the 5th floor, with a lovely balcony overlooking the street. The room was very clean and comfortable, and we had a private bathroom, not adjoining, but nearby. The air conditioning kept us comfortable at night, and street noise was non-existent until the morning. Tip: if, like us, you're coming from resort areas, ensure you have your passport or a photo of it, as it is necessary for Pepe to register your stay.

Amazing stay .
Our stay here was amazing , this apartment is central Old Havana, close to the Capitol building , the Theatre & El Floridita. The 2 Pepe’s who live above are the kindest of people who are very proud of their apartment and they go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need ( their coffee & fresh juice was very welcome every morning). The balcony was beautiful & relaxing and the interior was absolutely breathtaking ( photos attached !) I can highly recommend Terraza Los Pepes

The best place in Cuba. Amazing experience
I wish i can give 100 stars to this place. My stay at los Pepes was amazing. The room had all the conveniences i need and very central in old Havana with walking distance to all the important sightseeings. The room was huge with my own bathroom and balcony. Los Pepes were always very helpful and friendly to assist me in anything i need and made me feel like home. It was really nice to know that i was so far away from home but i was staying at a place that the people really value and care about you and your stay. If you seek a place to relax and enjoy Havana, with peace of mind that whatever you need the people are going to assist you, Los Pepes is the place. I didnt know them before but i can happily say that i made this new friends and i will definitely recommend and hopefully come back to this house. Los Pepes thank you for everything and keep giving this amazing service as hosts to travellers.

Holaaa! I have been in Pepes house for some days in my travel in Cuba. Pepes is very funny and kind. Un accueil génial de Pepe. Toujours au petit soin sans être envahissant. De bon conseil et des bons plans pour visiter la Habana ou Cuba. Quant à l'établissement, idéalement situé à 5min à pied du Capitole, 5 min à pied de la Plaza Vieja, 10min à pied de la Place d'arme, 10min à pied du musée du Rhum et j'en passe. Des restaurants partout où la cuisine de rue pour ceux qui aiment, bref à ne pas manquer. Merci encore Pepe

Great views of Habana Vieja!
Amazing views of Habana from the terrace. I will never foguet those sunrises when opening the window or the chill out drinks on the Hamaca. The house is really confortable and Pepe is a very cool host helping you with wathever you need. Was a great experience staying in his house!!!

Schönes zentral gelegenes Zimmer
Sehr netter Gastgeber mit Tips, der auch die Weiterfahrt organisiert. Gegend sieht recht runtergekommen aus, aber das Appartment mit dem Zimmer ist gepflegt uns liegt sehr zentral in der Altstadt für Besichtigungen. Essen wird nicht angeboten. Wir würden wieder dort übernachten. Die Dachterrasse ist toll - allerdings muss man gut zu Fuss sein, denn man muss zu Fuss doch :-)

Nos encantó Terraza los Pepes, la casa es preciosa, las camas muy cómodas y la terraza maravillosa. Aunque está en el centro, al lado de todo, la casa es muy tranquila. Pepe nos hizo unas cuantas recomendaciones y fue muy atento. Estuvimos encantadas allí!

Perfekt gelegen im Zentrum und trotzdem recht ruhig dafür. Der Gastgeber Pepe war super freundlich, hat mich nach dem letzten Tag sogar nochmal seine Dusche nutzen lassen kurz vorm Flug in der Nacht.

Estimada Anni, usted deberá tomar un taxi a la salida del aeropuerto, así le saldría mucho más económico, solo tienes que darle mi dirección.En cuanto al agua,ud tendrá una botella disponible en su habitación.Una sugerencia: podría ud traer su propio papel higiénico?El país está presentado muchos problemas y el embargo de los Estados Unidos contra la isla,cada vez es mas fuerte.Muchas gracias y cordial saludo.Los Pepes.

Bonjour à tous, Si vous comptez réserver un logement à la Havane, c'est ici qu'il faut vous adresser... Chez Los Pepes , les pièces sont vraiment spacieuces et confortables, dès l'entrée l'appartement vous semble chaleureux et accueillant. La chambre est grande avec air co, frigo, salle de bain privée, et la superbe terrasse avec vue sur la vieille Havane. De quoi vous sentir à l'aise lors de votre installation. Mais en plus... La situation est idéale : en plein cœur de la vieille Havane, à proximité de tout! Et... Pepe est un super hôte, tant pour l'accueil, la convivialité que pour ses bons conseils! Il est très attentionné et vous donne un maximum d'informations pour que votre séjour se déroule au mieux. Chez lui, vous vous sentirez comme chez vous!!! Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés. Pepe, Jose et coco sont d’incroyables hôtes qui nous ont fait se sentir en famille dans leur belle demeure très bien située. À deux pas du centre de la Habana Vieja, au quatrième étage d’une vielle bâtisse, on peut accéder à un balcon offrant une super vue sur les toitures de La Havane. L’appartement est très beau et on a accès à une cuisine. Pepe parle un excellent anglais et est une super mine d’information sur Cuba. Je recommande 100% ces supers hôtes.
