This property was nothing short of amazing!! The hosts Robert and Maite were awesome. The room was clean and the hosts were a tremendous help to us. If I ever return then I’ll definitely book this hotel again.

We did not know what to expect in Cuba. As our first hosts the Blanc Bleu was wonderful suggesting sites, restaurants, and things to do. In addition they helped with money exchange and transportation to other towns and helping us connect with others to help us on our trip. Clean, comfortable and quiet place to stay in a good, safe area to walk and see the sites of both old and new Havana. Fantastic.

If you want to experience the beauty and charm of old Havana, this is a must stay. From the breakfast on the roof to the beauty of a 1900 Spanish style mansion, this is a charming and beautiful place. The staff and the owner will help any way they can. They gave us advice on local restaurants and places to go. They exchanged our money with a fair rate, provided sim cards and brought cuban cigars to us for a fair price. Staff is available most of the day and there is security at night.We had a wonderful time and felt very safe there. Loved it. Thank you to all who took care of all of our needs. Lori

Our pleasant stay was ruined when a large amount of cash disappeared from our room while we were out. It was never recovered and the hotel staff, until then kind and helpful, were unsupportive and dismissive of the theft. Unfortunately, although the hotel is beautiful and comfortable, with a nice breakfast on a charming rooftop and good amenities available for purchase, we cannot recommend this hotel and we also urge you to keep cash on your person rather than in the room safe.

Submitting for my husband! We had a fantastic stay at Blanc Blue and would highly recommend! The property was lovely and we cannot sing their praises more highly! Mai-ti and Yaime were the amazing house hosts we had and were always available for any questions we had! They helped us navigate the city with ease and we always felt safe. The best meal we had was when the owner’s mom, Alina, cooked a dinner of chicken and con gris! It was a great experience!

We stayed for one week. The hosts were wonderful and arranged transportation and day trips for us. Lovely rooftop for relaxing, breakfast and internet coverage. No WiFi but we purchased a sim. Very close to Malecón and other eating places. Only breakfast is provided in terms of meals. Staff was always on hand for departures and arrivals so safety was never an issue.

The property is ok, however, a lot of elements listed in Expedia are not accurate, no wifi at the property, not allowed to eat in the room, no daily cleaning service. I would like to be highly compensated for the poor service received although the hosts were very kind but the property owner were very rude and welcoming.

The house was nice, there is a beautiful rooftop terrace and the staff was nice and gave some advice of what to do in the city. They were helpful and booked us a tour also by private car, however we found this quite expensive. The room was a little smelly, and the area around the house was not a very nice neighborhood (but it is like this in Havana touristic area).

Exchange Rate Beware!
The area was about 2km from central area of Havana Square (Downtown). Rickshaw was a good form of transportation. Breakfast was not included, although when I book the room it was included. We were suppose to receive a complimentry bottle of wine and never, we had to ask for it. The biggest disappointment was the hotel exchange rate. USD $1.00 / Cuban $1.50! That is robbery within itself. Especially when they boost of their website that they offer the best rate and stear you from the airport exchange, which is USD $1.00 / $1.23. The big currency disappointment was, the hotel charged USD $20.00 on USD $100.00 exchange -that’s 20% + USD $23.00 in exchange = USD $47.00, So you are getting USD $47.00 back on your return to every $100.00 you exchange. The airport is less then 3%. The hotel also charges you USD $8.00 per/day which covers staff tips that was included in the cost of daily room rate. Overall it was fine. My second time there, my fiancé first. Also beware of the pushy street merchants. We will return again but do things a little different. I did feel safe at all times people were very friendly.

Dear Jeffery,Im sad to read that you forgot to explain that because you run out of money, we helped you to get cash. There is no way of bringing cash to Cuba so yes, we have to charge a commission for that as we are also charged for that transaction. As we always tell our guests, bring cash to Cuba because you won’t be able to use your credit cards and if you run out of money you are not obligated to asks us for help under any circumstances! As a positive distinctive point of us, not all the airbnbs will be able to help you getting cash when you run out of this. Don’t know where did you get the airport rate from but we, as everyone in the street have a better rate exchange than the airport offers. So please, check the numbers so you can give a better information about this matter. Again, this is a complimentary help that we offer and you have the option of getting the help you need from wherever you want. The only 8 that we charge is for breakfast which is NOT INCLUDED in any of our room rates and of course, you are not obligated to have breakfast with us! Best wishes from Blanc Blue 1924.

A charming and elegant hotel, centrally located in a vibrant but not loud, safe neighbourhood within walking distance to everything we wanted. Comfortable beds, warm shower, luxurious towels, and the most fabulous rooftop patio for breakfast. The hosts, Maire, Teddy and Alina were gracious and extremely helpful. They recommended two excellent restaurants for dinner, arranged a classic car tour and transportation to our next destination, exchanged money, loaned us a map, sat and explained the different neighbourhoods to us, and could not have been more helpful. Our two days in Havana would not have been nearly as wonderful without all their help. I highly recommend this hotel—the hotel, location, and service could not have been better.

We had a great stay at Blanc Blue 1924! The staff is excellent, seriously the best part of the stay. The rooms have 2 levels (main and loft) so very spacious and great for the price. The breakfast is a good value (currently $8) and exactly what we were looking for (eggs, fruit, coffee, juice). We want to give a huge thank you to Teddy and Maite, who both helped us immensely during this trip. A few things to keep in mind if you're visiting from abroad: The hotel is in central havana, not havana vieja, though it's ~15 min walk from old havana so the area will not look like what you expect "havana" to be. but its very close to the Malecon (sea wall) and very walkable. The casa has no wifi, so plan accordingly. You can buy cards at the ETECSA for wifi in the plaza/park or bring a non-iphone to use with a cuban sim, which they can provide to you at the casa. Finally, visit Malecon 663, a really amazing restro/bar about 4 blocks from the casa on the Malecon when you come! This was the jewel of our visit, followed by Guarida, also about 6 blocks away.

I had an absolutely incredible time staying here!! The space is gorgeous with lovely long french windows and doorways, a rooftop terrace, walkable distance from everything and you really feel like you arrived in Cuba at this location. An important feature for me was to be near the water, near the Malecon. This hotel is a block from the Malecon waterfront. The staff were INCREDIBLE. I had a wonderful time as a solo traveler and felt immediately at home!

Would definitely stay here again! The place was very cute well kept and clean. Our hosts were wonderful! Very patient and accomodating! I would say dont get the room with the stairs! Stairs were very steep and had no outside rail. Only inside. Looking forward to having a functional bar rooftop on my next visit! Would definitely come back to this hotel!
