"This is always our go-to hotel when staying at Gatwick"

"Stayed in room 600, a room with a window. The room was quiet and I had a good night’s sleep before an early flight from Gatwick south terminal where BLOC is located. So the location is very convenient as it is also very near the train station. There are coffee machine rooms on the 5th and 7th floors to make up for the lack of tea/coffee/kettle within my type of room. Shower/wet room was clean and the shower was good. The bed was comfortable for me. It took a bit of time getting the room ventilation to a comfortable level for me personally. I used the BLOC in-house web app for this rather than the bedside control. It is convenient to use for lights, room ventilation and window blind but can be a bit slow to respond. The room WiFi worked well. For a one night stop over it was perfect."

"Parking is off site. However the staff is helpful and the rooms generally comfortable."

"Changes to my itinerary that were outside of my control meant I could not complete my stay. I advised staff several months before, acknowledging their no refunds policy. I asked if it was possible to obtain a credit note for future use and was told a flat NO and that they were not part of the wider Hampton group and independent. I asked if I could get a credit note for their specific hotel and again told NO, yet I would bet that knowing I would be a no show they will have resold the room. Overall I would never deal with this hotel again and would warn others not to either. "

"No breakfast, no evening meal, shower only had 2 settings: off and burn you alive. Towel radiator leaked onto electrical wires. Moved me to another room where another guest entered the room (using the same key code) as I stepped out the shower. Mattress had an interesting feature where a spring poked in my back. I think Basil Fawlty provides a better service. "
