"We had a terrible stay at the Alouette resort. The room was run down, walls were thin, shower never got hot after 30min. Sheets and pillows smelled like they were not laundered. Reviews said free breakfast we were never offered and had to pay for Luke warm weak coffee. The gentleman at the front desk was very dismissive about the shower water, giving all kinds of excuses instead of apologizing for it. The woman who checked us in was very nice tho. Photos on Expedia are misleading only showing the one newer ocean view building . All other buildings were run down , even the floor in the room slanted."

"I love staying here. It is my second time and it is better and better each time! Staff is professional and friendly. Room is super clean the bed super comfortable and pillows are like fluffy clouds. Parking is excellent and walking to the beach is 10 seconds. The pool available and clean. Can’t wait to come back."

"Host was Great. It didn't look like anyone cleaned and that was my only bumig negative, especially when you consider this is a pet friendly space.. Plenty of space with 3rooms, but the beds were not at all comfortable. The porch was a really nice quiet outside space and much appreciated."

"This space was everything I wanted. Located right on the water, very clean (which I value highly), comfortable, and well appointed. Great communication from my host as well. Naturally most everything was closed at this time of year, but that wasn't on my agenda. Quiet, peaceful, and comfortable worked just fine for me. The sunrises were magnificent!!"

"We were hoping for a weekend getaway offseason just to relax and have some quiet, but this was one of the worst nights I've ever had with my kids crying, everyone freezing and ending up sick. We left 1st thing in the morning and booked a hotel for the rest of our trip. After 2 weeks of continuous contact with the host, we still have not been reimbursed.There was no heat, no hot water, a rotting pizza in the oven, dirt and debris on the floors (socks, fruit pouch, wrappers, hair, etc), sand in the sheets, stains/hair/dirt on the bedding, miscellaneous substances on the walls, open closets filled with miscellaneous junk, and broken banisters on the deck. It is clear that the host is not actually involved and relying on their "team", who aren't actually invested in the quality of stay. I would be surprised if anyone did a walkthrough after the last guest.Despite being near freezing, the window was left open without a screen so the apartment was freezing. We shut the window and realized that the heat wasn't kicking on even though it was only 52F, but felt colder. Shortly after shutting the window an awful smell filled the apartment, which we traced back to the oven, which had a rotting pizza in it. The kids wanted to warm up with a hot shower and found that the hot water didn't work either. We notified the host and they said they would have their team address it. This never happened and we spent the night freezing in a filthy house, waking up sick and exhausted."
