"This Inn is definitely historic and has a lot of charm. The first night we stayed in a smaller room and the bed was extremely uncomfortable and the room was cramped but reasonable. The second night we moved to the rhododendron room where we had much more space and a beautiful view.
We had breakfast one of the mornings, which was an extra cost, but totally worth it.
We played cards in the common area in the evening and it was very serene and quiet.
The complimentary wine and cookies upon arrival were also a nice perk.
Be warned that if you are staying at the Inn during the week when they don’t serve dinner, there is almost nothing to eat in the nearby town. The first night we waited literally for over an hour for our food at the casino restaurant so the second night we drove 30 minutes to Crescent City to eat.
The local bear came out to say goodbye as we left on our last morning."
Holiday Inn Express Klamath - Redwood Ntl Pk Area by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"I love that it was just 9 mins up north from Tree of Mystery. It was right off 101 which was very convenient. We got a double queen room. The beds were soft and comfortable. The room was clean. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. We got scrambled eggs, bacon, season skillet potatoes, cereal, cinnamon buns, muffins, bagels, milk, and soy milk. The only downfall is there were no fruits. I wish there were some fresh fruit."
"Breakfast great, pool great! Only thing was the room was pretty run down and bathroom had a lot of mold so I had to use an outdoor bathroom instead because I’m really allergic."
Creekfront 3-bedroom house with WiFi, AC in Happy Camp
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful time. The place was inviting and had a lot to offer for a fun family experience. The garden offered a great place to watch bees and butterflies flying from flower to flower. The fruit trees brought in birds. The creek had small fish and crawfish to watch and try to catch and release. The trail to the creek was manageable for my 4yo on his own if he didn't have anything in his hands. The creek had swimming holes that were deep and small rapids for the kids to go down on tubes. The hostess was very responsive and kind. Given the option we would love to return at a future date."
Cozy RV in Quaint Klamath with AC, WiFi, DISH network, fully hooked up.
10/10 Excellent
"This trip was AMAZING! From the start Michael greeted us with open arms. The RV is spacious, homey and well worth what we paid for. We were even able to park next to the RV and come and go as we pleased. At night the area was quiet and his wife was sooo sweet sending us off, once our trip was done. Will definitely stay here again when we come back! Cheers!"
Who says you need to rough it to explore the outdoors?
10/10 Excellent
"A cute, comfortable cottage and very peaceful place to come "home" to after a day of exploring. Sit on the front porch and enjoy the peaceful countryside setting or take a stroll. Close to several swimming holes and access to Howland Hill Rd. for redwood hikes. Loved the map on the wall and amusing assortment of books, including a short history of Gasquet.Notes to be aware of:-There is some road noise from 199.-As is clear from the reviews, many people bring their dogs to this property. If you have allergies/asthma, you might need to take your medication like some of my family did, so bring it just in case. The property was clean, but of course not all pet dander can be eliminated."
