It was an amazing stay in canopy by Hilton. The service and cleanliness were tip top! One of the cleaner actually helped me to fold my clothes, it’s my first encounter with such detailed cleaning, I gave her a tip for such amazing initiative .I didn’t like the breakfast buffet it is disappointing.

The hotel was clean and well staffed. Breakfast was decent, although nothing too special. Great location, walkable from the nearest subway station and close to the west lake. The atmosphere was catered more towards younger adults and couples.

The hotel is very modern, the room is very spacious. There is even Robert room service! Very convenient location. But there is an overnight bar across the street and it can get really noisy in early mornings. The car honks, people talking and laughing, woke me up every night.

Canopy Hotel Westlake is a clean, modern hotel, conveniently located, in walking distance to Westlake and shopping area. The hotel is for young people with music, dance, and late night activities in the bar, sometimes loud music and singing, almost no lobby. one more thing, i booked a super king size room, but i got a corner room, small, irregular shape. i was not happy.

I loved the design, the staff (young, fun and very careful). The location per se is also fantastic, next to the XiHu; but I think the humidity is a real problem. They have put dehumidifiers everywhere but still, it smells a bad. Therefore, I think I have paid way too much for an hotel that has such a problem… that’s not good for your health. I stayed just 1 night.

Hotel is good. But, the address on the hotels.com and the real location is different. In the app, hotel is located just nearby the west lake, but actual location is 2 blocks away from the west lake. It made me confusing when I find the hotel.

Our stay at this property followed a stay at the grand hyatt in shanghai with river view abnd club access. The prices was the same, but the experience is worlds apart. First, the room was advertised as having a view of west lake. I guess it did, but it was a very fine sliver of a view of a remote west lake. In addition, the rooms were somewhat run down, the tile in the ahower was rough on the feet, the lobby/bar area was not only loud, but constant flashing lights that were incredibly annoying. Finally, when we checked in there was a serious push to hire their driver/car. We will definitely be going back to Hangzhou, but we definitely will not be staying here.

Fancy hotel attached to night clubs

The hotel is very new and fancy. Service staff are helpful and attentive. The location is desirable. However, the hotel is not for everyone: there are two night clubs that are part of the building complex (and it is not a very big building.) We stayed over the weekend and both nights I did not sleep. The music did not bother but the noise after the club closed at 4am. Taxis sounding their horns and people talking / laughing loudly on the street until 430am or so. Not for older travellers.
