Coast 67 Boutique Hotel

"We have just enjoyed the most wonderful holiday in Sri Lanka which was made by the beautiful hotel and fabulous staff at Coast 67 in Ahangama. A stunning setting with gorgeous, quality wooden fixtures and fittings. We stayed for 9 nights which is unusual at this time of year and settled into the rhythm of the hotel very quickly. The staff make Coast 67 the most very special of places. Kind, caring, attentive calm and funny. They are a brilliant team and big thanks go to the chefs who adapted the menu for me. Coast 67 is a must."

"Sri Lankan Villa was one of the best places we stayed in Sri Lanka, and the cleanest. Everything in the villa had been thought through, and our stay was so comfortable and easy. Lovely balcony too for relaxing. The location was perfect - close to Koggala lake, the beach, our favourite little Café Wave (try the hot lava cake), the railway line, and even the little road the villa was on was quiet and good for an evening wander. Highly recommended."

"Villa was clean. Beds and furniture were very comfortable.WiFi ,TV ,and hot water worked well.In the kitchen all appliances worked well including the kettle, microwave, fridge,and the cook top. Washing machine was very helpful for us.There were no mosquitoes or bugs indoors. The garden was clean and well cared for by the caretaker Anusha.Check in and check out were smooth with Anusha. She even brought some food for us.She is very kind and always available for any issues. The host, Sampath messaged us frequently to find if we were comfortable. I highly recommend this vila to anyone who wants to have a peaceful stay."

"Beautiful property on great stretch of Kabalana beach. It was really nice walking along the long stretch of beach and having a dip in the warm and clear water. The king size bedroom was big, clean and very comfortable. The pool area was relaxing with comfortable sun beds with a great view of the beach and also direct access. We enjoyed eating lunch at the pool area with some of the best king prawns we had, deep fried in panko breadcrumbs. Everything we had for lunch and breakfast was good quality and value. There is also a fantastic restaurant just opposite if you want a change. The personnel were all brilliant, helping whenever they had to, and replenishing cold water bottles when we on our sun beds. We had 2 lovely and memorable nights and would not hesitate to return. "
Kahanda Kanda

"We enjoyed our stay at Kahanda Kanda. It is a small resort and on arrival were shown to our room, the Garden room which was nice on first impression. However we woke to find ants all over our bed which was not acceptable. Housekeeping promptly changed the bedding but within half an hour they were back so we were moved for our second night to the Mango room. There was no comparison between the two rooms as the first had been dark with no view and the second was lighter with a veranda overlooking the tea plantation. We felt happier with the change and it was thankfully ant free! Breakfast was lovely sitting overlooking the jungle and watching wild monkeys swinging through the trees. Food was ok with a set menu or à la carte. We were transferred to the sister hotel KK Beach by tuk tuk for a few nights to finish our holiday and guests have the option of going to the beach resort for the day. It is nice you can alternate between the two. "

"Nice clean rooms and attentive staff, pool was heated and the location was walkable into certain surf spots; sticks, and marshmallow. Only issues is that the bathroom was slightly broken, sink was loose and shower door dragged. The staff we not familiar with Expedia payments, but this is common for the island as most hotels don’t like the idea of not being paid cash. This was sorted eventually but remember to show your payment receipt on check in. "
