When I raised this at check-in, two managers — Ashley B. and Dave M. — both refused to make any adjustment. Ashley B even claimed they are oversold. It is not — Expedia lists them as two separate room categories.
My entire first night was wasted in dispute instead of enjoying my trip with my children. Only after formal written escalation did the hotel refund the difference and waive resort fees. Expedia also issued a goodwill credit, acknowledging the misrepresentation on their end.
Important note: this hotel sits perpendicular to the ocean — true ocean views are extremely limited and most guests will not get one. This is never disclosed at booking.
My recommendation: book the Marriott next door. It shares the same pool and common areas but faces the ocean directly, with genuine ocean views throughout.
Do not waste your money or your vacation here with poor management and scam advertising."
