This property has had lots of thought put into its design and the sort expectations kids big and small have when they go on holidays it’s qwerky, challenging, smart, alternative design, but everything works works well and is safe. One exception is a glass door closing off a hallway which does not have a marker to help visitors’detect’ when it’s closed!!!!

This is an excellent property in Hafencity. The location is convenient for visiting the sites in the area. It is a short walk from the train station. There are plenty of options for food in the area. The hotel was very clean, spacious, and well kept. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would stay again and recommend it to others as well. Perfect for a family trip.

Great design, gorgeous hotel!

Loved this hotel! Breakfast was great, gluten free bread available, lovely array of meats and cheeses, breads, cereals and some hot food. The späti was amazing, a little store cupboard for soft drinks, wine and beer, toothpaste etc, chocolate and crisps, works on an honesty basis and was so cool. Room was lovely and quiet, and staff were really friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!

A beautiful hotel in a great location. It’s just missing a few personal touches. No bottled water available in the room, no iron available in room, single duvet on a king bed . I would stay again

There are a few restaurants behind the property that were good. We opted not to eat at the hotel as it seemed pricey. We loved the in house, self-serve store for snacks & drinks & the whole modern coastal vibe was really cool.

The large family room was excellent. The separate ‘room’ with the bunk beds was perfect for our boys and meant they could sleep whilst we watched some tv. The large window seat was pleasant but the view was just of other apartment blocks. The large bathroom had a great shower and the separate toilet was good. The breakfast buffet was extensive and replenished throughout. Although we didn’t dine on an evening, the South Korean inspired cocktails were good. Staff were all helpful and polite. We would stay again.

The property was modern and comfortable. The lighting is quite dim in the room but that’s just a minor thing. We enjoyed our stay as it was quiet and good space for 4 of us in the XL room. Breakfast was expensive even if children were free to dine.

Good location, good hotel

Good place to stay in Hamburg. The rooms are reasonably sized and have enough storage space for a two suitcases to be open whilst still allowing people to move around. The rooms are very quiet. Bed is comfy. Air conditioning works. Two things I would change if I could: the desk & chair are rather pathetic - you're not going to get any serious work done here. The other thing is the magazine rack which hangs from a lampshade next to the side of the bed. It looks good but it's a pain in the arse when you bang your head on it in the night. The area is good - clean and new. I am glad I stayed here rather than somewhere more central. If you've never been to Hamburg, avoid staying anywhere near the central station - it's gross! But this location is only a 10-15 minute walk from central hamburg, and is very close indeed to the Elbphilharmonie and Miniatur Wunderland. If I came to Hamburg again, I'd be happy to stay here again.

Quirky, Fun, Wonderful Hotel.

We were in Hamburg to see Minatur Wonderland, and this hotel is walking distance away. Turned out to such an amazing, quirky, enjoyable place. The staff is great, all speak fluent English. The morning breakfast is awesome, they have a huge theater where we watched the Olympics every night, a cool rooftop bar area and throughout the building these little vignette model scenes literally built into the walls. There's a whole area of stores and restaurants literally next door, bus stop right out front and walking distance to the train. But this is what we will take away from our stay at the Pierdrei. At 430am on our 3rd night, the fire alarm with off. We could smell smoke, my kid was terrified as we all ran out. Someone from the hotel came out to talk to us and keep us informed I told my wife "He looks JUST LIKE the guy from the Wunderland." It was. It was Fredrick. (The brothers are part owners.) At *5am*, making sure we all were ok.(It was a fire in the ceiling above the theater.) When we checked out a couple days later, there was a toy truck from Minatur Wonderland waiting for my kid. "Freddy wanted all the kids who went through that to have something because it was so scary." I hope to get back to Hamburg a couple more times in my life and I will always stay here when I do.
