A passable hotel in a very walkable location. Negatives: - There was mold in the shower. - The rooms are very small, hard to even walk around in. - The rooms are very basic with no décor and feel sort of cobbled together with shoddy repair jobs. - The rooms are very loud, you can hear lots of noise from outside (sirens from emergency vehicles are relentless in Hamburg). Positives: - The hotel staff was pleasant and accommodating. - The breakfast buffet is a nice option to have in the morning. - The location is great, walkable to many things. Verdict: Might be worth staying at if the price is right (cheap) and you care more about being in a good location than you do about your hotel room. If staying in a nice hotel is important to you, this is not the place.

The staff was very helpful. The breakfast room was bright and a good selection of food. Unique key system that was a little tricky. The room was a decent size and was clean. The reception and sitting area could use a little updating.

Great quiet location,10min walk to the reeperbahn and train stations. Hotel rooms are basic but clean. There is NO bar as advertised.

The night staff did not speak English and if they did were not at all helpful. the night desk staff on duty Sep 5th in the early morning refused to get me a taxi which I had asked for earlier, told me to try taking the train, pointing me to the door (all done with emotion and anger seemingly towards me). I went next door and immediately got the taxi from the night desk person at the next hotel, who had no problem at all. The other staff were great.

Not a nice room at all, stay somewhere else
Would rather have stayed in a hostel. Not enough towels provided in the room, had to request the right number of towels at front desk. Room and especially bathroom are in dire need of renovation. Repairs needed in various places (see photos). The hotel does not take pride in its rooms. The front desk is stated as 24hr in the description but frequently there is a sign at the desk saying they will be back in a few minutes, on one occasion this was around 20 mins. That's not 24hr then. Window handle missing to one of the windows. Would not choose to stay here again and think it has also put me off of the Novum brand.

Highly recommended hotel close to Reeperbahn
Very comfortable hotel and close to Reeperbahn with its clubs, pubs and restaurants. Super clean! Although I didn't chat that much with the staff (corona times) they were very helpful when I needed anything. I've seen some reviews concerned about the noise. There's a big street with lots of traffic just outside the hotel but I had an upper floor room and didn't hear anything at all (and I had the window open at night). Will book it again. ps. didn't have breakfast at the hotel due to the corona situation

The best thing it was the cleanliness and the location. The mattress was awful. On our first night at the hotel, we wake up at small hours in the morning with people laughing and talking on the corridor for ages and the reception staff did not do anything about it. Breakfast did not have any dairy free options. As they did not have any dairy free options,in the afternoon I went to the supermarket and bought a big pot of dairy free yogurt. While asking at the reception if they have a spoon as I was hungry, staff were the most unfriendly and rude I ever seen in a hotel reception. The receptionist said that we were in a hotel, and when my husband said, yes, and we are staying here is why we are asking for a spoon. the receptionist asked our room number and requested the key to make sure we were there. When we showed them the key, he just looked at me and said no spoon and no kitchen. His reaction it would not be much different if I have asked for a gun. I am sure that if one day I return to Hamburg I would not stay in this hotel. Reception should be able to help guests, listen their needs, willing to help when they need anything, not treating them in such unfriendly way. I cannot understand how people so unfriendly and rude can work in a hotel reception.

Confusing Locks!
The location of this hotel is decent considering the price, but the locks on the doors are very inconvenient. They are confusing, even after I had an attendant show me how it worked I was worried that if I left the room I wouldn’t be able to get back in. The water pressure in the shower was not great either. But overall an ok experience.

Clean, well located hotel. The breakfast was wonderful. The room was clean and efficient. It was a bit warm and since there was no AC, you need to leave the windows open which is noisy at night. Overall, a very good value.

Great location
Small, dated room but very clean. No chance of tea/coffee in room but there’s a small coffee machine in reception (it doesn’t dispense hot water so no chance of a cup of tea). The only food available is breakfast (fantastic selection for a continental buffet). No room service and bar consists of a fridge in reception with overpriced beer and wine only. Friendly reception staff and a fabulous location. Less than 20 mins walk to harbour, city centre etc. Good value for money overall.

Lovely hotel. Rooms spacious and very clean. Excellent breakfast. Close to train station for easy access to centre of Hamburg. Helpful staff 24 hours a day.

Great position, clean and tidy hotel
Hotel was clean and comfy, staff were friendly and helpful, superb continental breakfast. Good position, couple of minutes walk from Reeperbahn and subway stop. Only downside was the busy road, we were on the front of the hotel and the traffic was constant. Other than that had a good stay.
