"The facility is clean, but definitely is no frills. When we arrived there were no trash cans in the room. The bathroom is very small. There is not a lot of light in the room and the floor lamp was rickety. We didn’t want to keep the window shade open because it was on the first floor and faced the parking lot. There is a restaurant/bar but it regularly closed early. It is inexpensive but we would not stay there again. "

"Property needs maintenance. Broken items in room. Not accessible for anyone in a wheelchair, small walk-in shower, and could barely reach rod in “ closet”. Breakfast selection barely adequate. Powdered scrambled eggs every day. Desk clerks, tried to be helpful and were friendly. Housekeeping was a nightmare. We stayed four days prior to this stay and had service twice during that time only on request. Never had the room fully serviced. Very large TV for a small room and good selection of channels, including several HBO selections. Be aware, no pool and couldn’t find any fitness center."

"Our experience at the Garden Place Hotel was awful. When we arrived at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, front desk staff had to check to see if our king room was ready. We were given room 233. As soon as we opened the door to the room, we could see the sag in the bed - it looked like a hammock. I have never before requested a room change but there was no way. I went back to the front desk and was informed there were no other king rooms ready. We opted for a double queen instead. We got to the new room and had no hot water. Called the front desk and was told the boiler was restarted and it should be hot shortly. It was but we got up in the morning and had no hot water again. This time we were told that repair had been called and the only option was to try a different room. We were offered a late checkout but decided to just move on with our day. Very disappointing as we had actually read other recent reviews and thought about canceling but eventually opted to keep our reservation. Definitely a mistake! The staff who we encountered were friendly and doing their best. The property is currently under renovation but they have a ways to go. "

It's huge, with a bunch of tables perfect for gathering and relaxing. We especially appreciated the pool table and foosball table, which were a lifesaver for keeping our kids happily occupied while the adults could unwind. The availability of board games, Connect 4, and Jenga was also a huge plus, offering even more entertainment options. The amenities continued to impress with a warm and clean pool, perfect for a refreshing dip, and a clean and generously sized gym for those looking to stay active. And let's talk about breakfast – it was absolutely fantastic! There was a wide array of options that thankfully changed every morning, keeping things fresh and exciting for everyone. Checking out was an absolute breeze, making for a stress-free departure. "We only had the plasure of staying one night. Were there for a family funeral. Being exhausted from a long drive, the staff checked us in quickly and we were able to get to the visitation on time. The staff was very polite. That night the bed was so comfortable we were able to sleep well enough to get up early and get to the service on time. Recommend the LaQuinta for travelers. "
