Really great hotel in an amazing old building. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Excellent buffet breakfast and appreciated it ran until midday so no rush. Great location for easy access to the city by foot or on the train.

A very good hotel, very clean and modern rooms. Staff were polite and helpful. Only concern was when I visited the bar late at night for some bottled water and was charged €14 which is an outrage.

What I liked most is the design and how they Incorporated the old water tower so elegantly into a hotel. It's like staying in a museum. The rooms are quite comfortable and the beds exceptional. I did not get a chance to try the cave bar but it looked really cool.

States on line parking but access is narrow and staff neglected to state a coin was needed to exit…. Made a very difficult reverse The Air-conditioning control was broken so to sleep the windows had to be opened and the noice was bad. The lift to the garage malfunctioned but the door open at the parking level. On exiting the lift floor was 10/12 inches higher than the floor and I was lucky to stay on my feet. The hotel is a little off the beaten path and walking to the Reeperbahn dodged homeless and druggies Not a pleasant stay The room was ok and the bed comfortable If Airconditioning worked it certainly would have helped

Nice hotel, good location for nightlife and not too far from centre shopping area, 10 mins on train or 30 minute walk. Beautiful building with history. Located in a park so u can find some unsavoury characters nearby late at night but that is an issue with any big city across Europe near nightlife. Bed was a bit soft for my liking but the hotel was well located, clean, staff very friendly and helpful so I would recommend and stay again. Unfortunately I did not eat at hotel so cannot comment on food however lots of options few minute walk away.

Nice hotel but service wasnt great
Nice hotel and in a cool area. But they stopped my card at the hotel on day 2 claiming that they had tried to take payment and it hadnt been authorised. I went to reception within 5 minutes and asked them to process the same card they alreasy had on file, and it went through without any issues. Found it a little rude.

Unfortunately disappointing
Amazing building. Rooms however a bit soulless. Due to a mix up by the hotel we experienced a Classic room for 3 or 4 hours before being installed in the Superior room we had actually paid for. The only difference (that I could tell) was we were moved up a few floors. A lot of the staff were really not particularly friendly or welcoming (except the guy who took our bags when we first arrived who was great). My real gauge of a hotel is answered by one question. Would I go back? The answer to the Movenpick is simple. No.

The hotel is quirky in that it has been constructed within a former water tower so the rooms radiate around the central lift area on each floor. The rooms are spacious, light, airy and beautifully fitted out with a huge bed, wardrobe, desk, a couple of easy chairs and a small table for relaxing, plus a safe. The bathroom was ultra modern with a large shower and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is on the edge of a park so the rooms on that side of the building have a lovely view from the windows. Being only a few minutes walk from both the U Bahn and S Bahn at Sternschanze the location was excellent for getting into and around the City quickly and easily. My only reservation was that in the evenings groups of foreign youths hung around outside the exit from the station hassling passengers, which was a concern for a solo traveller.

Clean Hotel, Excellent buffet breakfast, conveniently located close to a Metro station. Nice Walk via Hamburg Park to the centre. Plenty of dining options in the surrounding area.

Loud at the weekend.
This is an amazing hotel. Though both the Friday and Saturday night had an event in the park which was very loud. Just something to be aware of if your staying over the weekend.

Hotel's location is very good. Near to metro and city center. Our room was facing the Dome which had late night parties (August). They stopped the sound at midnight. The restaurant closes rather early. And breakfast was too expensive. However there are lots of restaurants at walking distance.
