The Cameo Hotel and Suites has new facilities, with washing machines and dryers on the 3rd and 5th floors. Its prime location in the city center, adjacent to the waterfront and numerous restaurants, offers excellent value. The only drawback is that the hotel only provides two coffee capsules regardless of the number of guests or the length of their stay. This has been explained by the hotel, and guests can purchase coffee from the vending machine if needed.

Everything was great - room was clean, check in was smooth with minor hiccups (no fault to the property or set up lol), but nothing unmanageable. Given that the property is right in halifax, parking can be tricky if you have a car and have heavy luggage that you have to trek with you. So be prepared for a ticket on your windshield even if you are 8-10 minutes over the time.

When you get there and there is a basket of ear plugs it’s always a bad sign. It’s over multiple bars outside and very loud. Unable to open curtains over air conditioner so the blocked the AC. Attempted to contact someone with questions by phone and by email and never received a response.

The noise from pub next door was worse than expected. If you are someone who wants to be in bed before 2:00 am then I would not recommend. Maybe suites lower down or in front of building are fine but our suite 4th floor back was extremely noisy from pub next door.

The apartment was very clean, great location - few minutes walk from waterfront. The only downside was a proximity to the venue, that run a party on Friday night, noise was unbearable as the djs decks were just under our windows. Ear plugs provided offered little help. I suppose on weekdays this is not an issue though, we were unfortunate to stay just on a Friday night.

We arrived at Cameo Suites and there was a homeless person hanging out at the front of the building, so that was a bit off-putting right away, though you go in the side door. The code box at the door was not working, but the code sent to our phone did work. Ran into lots of folks trying to get in over the 3 nights we were there. Our room was at the back of the building on the 4th floor. It was hot, even though there was air conditioning, it didn't work well. Luckily there was a large fan in the room. They say it can be loud, they are correct. The boom boom boom of the base of music playing just below was loud - did stop at midnight. On the plus side, the location is very central with multiple buses stopping out front.

We were very happy with the location and the suite was clean with everything we needed. Waiting till just a few hours of arrival to check in on line was a bit frustrating - since it is all online it leaves one feeling a little uncertain whether it will all fall into place. Parking was expensive - not sure this can be improved? Otherwise really enjoyed our stay.

Great location. Very small beds and way overpriced for an older apartment style lodge. Very upset when sharing elevator with a couple and they were on 6 th ( Penthouse floor) and said I hope it’s good for the price they are charging and they told me $250 they paid and I was like $365 for the same unit. That really burned me as I do price shop and was told this was best price and it wasn’t. Paid WAY TOO MUCH for this place.very noisy too. Bad when they provide bedside earplugs.
