Super cute cottage close to beach
The property was super cute and clean. It was just as described. It was super close to a dog, friendly beach, 15 minute walk or a very short drive to the parking lot for the beach. The Coastal Trail is also at the beach, if you want to take a nice walk along the coast with beautiful views! Hosts are very friendly and responsive. Quickly gave recommendations upon request. We enjoyed our trip so much and can’t wait to return!

Weekend Beach Stay
We booked this stay last minute as a spur of the moment beach trip and we so fortunate this one was available! Coming in, the instructions for everything was very clear and the property was adorable! Great location right off the coast! The owners were amazing as well. Can’t wait to book again!

A fun little beach house :)

Ideal short-term rental
The rental was exactly as advertised, very clean, organized, and perfect for a short term stay. It’s in a wonderful location in HMB, only a short walk to the beautiful coastal path. We had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. Although close to neighbors, we felt like we had enough privacy.

Property in great location. The studio is compact but perfect for two. The bed was very comfortable after hours of exploring between HMB and Santa Cruz. The private backyard was so pretty with beautiful succulents. We enjoyed our stay and would have loved to have had a longer visit.

Very cute and cozy
This cottage was just the right size for me, my husband and our adult daughter. The weather was beautiful and we were only a short walk to the beach. The fenced yard was an added plus for our two small dogs. The neighborhood was very quiet. We’d definitely stay here again.

This place is as advertised. Small but quaint. Great location--easy walking distance to the beach and a short drive to downtown HMB. Lots of great bakeries and restaurants therefore nearby. Would come back and use it again.

Hidden Gem
We live only a little over an hour away but coming to HMB for a weekend feels like a true getaway. We chose this house because it was in a quiet neighborhood and dog friendly. We were not disappointed! The hosts make this spot so special with coastal decor and everything there to make our stay comfortable including a stocked kitchen and plenty of linens. Morning coffee on the private patio was perfect. Parking is easy and a short walk to the beach. Main St is really close - across HWY 1 and just up the road a bit. I really appreciated the small kitchenette. And plenty of beach towels there for our use if we needed them. Our pup was super comfortable and enjoyed sitting on the patio with us. We would absolutely stay here again and will tell our friends.

Very Relaxing
This was a really nice and private location. The space was well equipped and other than food, I didn’t need to go out and get anything for my stay. The owners were very attentive and made sure I was able to get all settled in. There was a binder with a lot of great ideas which helped in deciding where to visit/eat. Would definitely recommend and the drive to the beach is literally 2 minute away or about a ten minute walk.

Great location for visiting the Half Moon Bay area with easy access to the beach and wonderful coastal trail. Unit is very cozy and everything functioned as expected. Nice outdoor space too.

Wonderful place to stay!
Easy check in and quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed the walk to beach and a nice long uncrowded beach. Our two small dogs enjoyed the backyard and the fence was very secure so our toy dog could not get out. We enjoyed hanging out in the back yard too!

Enjoyed the stay the only thing I would change is having a hand vacuum on the premises and changing the under staircase space to storage shelving and the other storage unit near the shower to a decent refrigerator because you hit your head on the staircase getting in and out of the frige. Also, a larger tv. Just suggestions but completely enjoyed the neighborhood, the proximity to the beach and downtown, the appeal of the little cottage and everything else about it!

We really enjoyed our stay in the Tiny Cottage. It was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. The fully enclosed courtyard was a lovely bonus for us and our dog. Looking forward to a return visit.

Plan well to stay here…. It’s a nice location (can walk to the beach) and it’s fairly quiet (nestled in a neighborhood) with a small, but sweet patio area…. But cooking is very abbreviated and inside privacy (unless you’re alone) is zero…. But over all that, if you can observe those cautions …. It’s an absolutely charming destination!!

Great little spot!
We live just a few blocks away and were having our home fumigated and needed a place to stay for us and our two cats. It was perfect! Cats don't tend to like change, and they both just hunkered down upstairs on the bed on a blanket I'd brought over (thought it would help to have something that smelled familiar). So happy to know about this little place if we have overflow guests that we cant accomodate!

Beautiful weekend stay in half Moon Bay for our wedding
The property was very clean. My son loves the lofted bed. My dogs love the backyard. We love that we didn't have to worry about where they needed to go bathroom. Also the poplar Beach nearby is dog friendly. Overall such a wonderful stay!

It was a wonderful weekend. Very clean in quiet neighborhood. Check in was easy, and instructions very clear on checkout. Would love to say that the host was very responsive, but because everything was set up so nicely, that we never needed to contact them! As wonderful as the place was, I would have to assume if there was something we needed, they would have been very responsive. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our time at this little place. It was perfect for us as we could walk to the beach and downtown. Also had a small kitchen so we could make most meals there. Just have to add that this place was so so clean. Better than any place we stayed at before.

Love this place. Great location. Walking distance to the beach. It was super nice with Ralph Lauren pillows and super nice bedding and towels. Really beautiful space too. Our only negative was that there isn't a lot of bathroom privacy. Nor is there a bathroom sink. The little backyard patio area is precious and the little house was a lot of fun. Over all, we really enjoyed it.

The photos are spot on and the communication with the host was quick and easy. The location can’t be beat, literally a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. There were a very cobwebs on the ceiling but everything else was very clean. The loft bedroom is pretty small and requires some ducking up the stairs, but it had enough room to put our Pack n Play crib next to the bed. The bathroom situation makes this rental best for family or extremely close friends—there isn’t really a ceiling over the toilet (it’s not open air, the walls just don’t meet the ceiling) so privacy is scant.

Convenient Beach Casita
Contacted host few days before original reservation in hopes to reschedule last minute due to a family health emergency. The hosts were gracious enough to approve the request. Casita was charming, with private yard for my dogs and enough space for my toddler and spouse. The fridge/kitchenette/microwave was convenient, the walk to Poplar Beach and drive to nearby sites were so easy. The casita was well insulated, and we were able to use the fan and AC during the day and heat at night. The hosts were quick to respond to questions. The skylight, small window by the bathroom and light from the heat/AC unit were really bright, but manageable. This was the perfect, low key long weekend break we needed.

Nice, quant property within walking to the beach
Everything was great except for the misleading photos and description on the VRBO site. It listed "Gas Fire Pit" in the amenities (and also in the photos), but there was no gas fire pit. We packed S'mores to roast outside, so the kids were bummed.
