For a truly exceptional and relaxing stay in Hajmás, the best area to consider is the immediate vicinity of Lake Balaton, particularly around the village of Tihany.

Tihany, located on a peninsula jutting into Lake Balaton, is renowned for its natural beauty and historic abbey. Its elevated position offers stunning panoramic views of the lake, and the village itself is characterised by traditional thatched-roof houses and lavender fields. The area around the Tihany Abbey is particularly picturesque, with quaint streets leading to viewpoints and local craft shops. It's an ideal spot for couples seeking a peaceful and romantic getaway.

Couples will find Tihany particularly appealing due to its serene atmosphere and scenic walks. You can explore the Tihany Abbey, enjoy a boat trip on Lake Balaton, or simply relax by the water. The area also boasts some excellent dining options with lake views, great for a special evening.

For those travelling with family, the northern shore of Lake Balaton, slightly east of Tihany, offers a good balance of activities and convenience. Towns like Balatonfüred provide more facilities geared towards families, including beaches with playgrounds and opportunities for watersports.

The best time to visit Hajmás is during the late spring and early autumn months, specifically May, June, September, and early October.
