Welcome to Sunset Bank Cottage! A brand-new ocean escape on the shores of breathtaking St. Margaret’s Bay, Nova Scotia. Just steps from the ocean, Sunset Bank enjoys unparalleled views of the bay, where you can watch the sun set each night. Relax on the front deck and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. We will let you know what time the sun sets each night so you wont miss it! Brand new and fully equipped our 2-bedroom, open concept cottage offers all the comforts of home, ready and waiting for you to unwind.

Just 7 minutes away from world-renowned Peggy's Cove, located in the tranquil community of Hackett's Cove in St. Margaret’s Bay. Here you will find numerous restaurants, where seafood is always on the menu. Cafés and bakeries abound, for those looking for coffee and a quick bite. Nature lovers may enjoy a sea kayaking tour, or one of the many hiking and biking trails near by. Take a boat tour and see the famous Peggy’s Cove lighthouse from a different perspective, or head to Pearl Island and see the puffins!

Our cottage is the ideal home base for numerous day trips. Head down the South Shore to picturesque Mahone Bay, the town of three churches. Continue on to colourful Old Town Lunenburg a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, a beautiful 90 minute drive along the ocean. Or spend the day in the beautiful Annapolis Valley, home to most of the province’s wineries. A great place to see the highest tides in the world at the Bay of Fundy, only a 90 minute drive. Halifax is just 40 minutes away, spend the day in the bustling city, and come back to relax at Sunset Bank Cottage.

Gorgeous and peaceful

Beth made our stay so pleasant with special touches such as a dog bed and bowls and even fresh eggs from her chickens. The house was spotless and well organized. The view was incredible even from inside.

Great Family Stay

The cottage was new and the best equipped cottage we have ever had. This host goes above and beyond to make your trip and cottage experience special. Loved walking down to the waterfront and going for a swim and watching the sunset and ocean views from the cottage :(

Sunset Bay Cottage

Sunset Bay Cottage was on point . The cottage was beautiful ,so comfortable, well stocked and extremely clean !! Sitting on Margaret's Bay was very relaxing. Beth went out of her way to provide everything you need so that you can spend your time just relaxing !!. Definitely a positive 5 star experience !!

Paradise at Sunset Bank Cottage

Two days of rest and relaxation in a beautiful little cottage with gorgeous views. This new build was pristine, well appointed, with thoughtful welcoming touches- personal welcome message in the chalkboard that included sunset time, basket of local toffees and bottle of bubbly, fresh flowers- and attention from the owner included hand delivery of a kitchen tool needed to complete our meal.

Amazing 2 night Stay!!

Beautiful cottage over looking St Margaret's Bay!! Spotlessly clean and well appointed!! And the best part was Beth was there to answer any questions and give advice about where to go to eat, groceries, etc. it was the perfect, quiet holiday we needed to unwind and plan our Eastern 2 week holiday!! PERFECTION!

This cottage is located in the most ideal calming location overlooking St. Margaret's Bay! And very well appointed..had everything we needed...beautifully decorated! Beth, our host, was incredibly helpful and amendable with every detail along with recommendations of food stores, restaurants, and sites to see! Her communication was excellent. We taught our online barre fitness classes from the back deck overlooking the water! We are truly looking forward to returning next year and more...only wished we could have stayed longer! It was beyond our expectations...SUPERB all around! A true gem...

This is the best property we got over that past decade!! The location is just amazing with a breathtaking view on the bay. The cottage is equipped like never seen before with a level of details that is over the top! The cleanliness and the condition of the place is 11/10 and the communication with the owner Beth is irreproachable. I do recommend this place to whoever wants to spend good, relaxing and quiet time in a peaceful environment.

November 8th - November 13th There are not enough words to describe this property!! The amount of care that is put into everything is amazing. Beth has thought of EVERYTHING you could need...just when you think "Hmm, she probably doesn't have that..." just open a drawer, and there's a great chance you'll find it! The cottage was sparkling clean, the location/view was exactly as shown in the pics, it's phenomenal. We stayed there for 5 nights and I think we had the best sleep we've had in years! Will definitely be going back. This location is saved for a revisit for sure! 10 Stars

Wonderful place

The house is beyond words. Beautiful, clean, and so tranquil. All the small touches gave it that extra homey feel. The location is excellent. We had to leave a day early due to the Hurricane coming into Florida. The host was understanding and accommodating. We will be back. .

This property was absolutely beautiful! The inside was spotless and tastefully decorated. The view of the ocean was just as perfect. The host was great from first to last interaction, she went above and beyond. My family would love to return to this property in the future!
