"The house was great. We loved the club house and Avellana beach. Unfortunately there were road closures during our stay which made getting into town and to all our booked excursions challenging (long drives on dirt roads), other than that it was perfect!"

"Absolutely beautiful. Lots of onsite activities and it was really easy to plan excursions and trips into the more populated areas. The only thing that needs improvement was the food. Sabernero Steakhouse was delicious but all of the other food was extremely low quality for the price. Definitely expected way better for a resort of that caliber. The staff was excellent, the property and rooms were clean. They were very on top of resetting and cleaning the rooms each day as well. Overall, I’d highly recommend as long as you don’t have any expectations for great food onsite."

The home is beautiful, if a bit more aged than reflected in the photos, and having easy access to the pool and beach was amazing. "Our stay at this beautiful home in Costa Rica exceeded every expectation! The house was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly maintained. One of the absolute highlights was the incredible maid service—they went above and beyond every day, keeping everything immaculate while making us feel so welcome. So attentive to detail. The private, secure location was another huge plus. It provided a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere and made us feel completely safe throughout our stay. It truly felt like our own private paradise. We took a half mile walk to the JW Marriott one day and enjoyed all of their amenities with a day pass. The host was extremely helpful in setting up transportation for us. I wish we would have taken advantage of the private shuttle that was offered for a daily rate. If you plan on leaving the house for anything at least once a day it’s worth doing the private shuttle.We did the catamaran and the adventure park that we booked through the house host. Both were awesome. The catamaran we did a private morning tour. I highly recommend the private if you are traveling with a group. There were eleven of us and it was perfect. The food was incredible as well as the service. If you’re looking for a beautiful, well-cared-for home with exceptional service and a quiet, secure setting, this is the perfect place. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Costa Rica!"

"By far, my family said this was the best vacation they’ve ever been on. The home was absolutely beautiful. There were 15 of us and we had plenty of room. Our Host, Elsa went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a smooth process. We would definitely go back again someday. Our house moms were wonderful. It was great to wake up every morning and have your breakfast made and served."

"Property was beautiful and spacious as advertised. The living room was comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped. The beds were comfortable and the black out shades were a plus. The owner was very responsive and helpful. The overall area of hacienda pinilla was nicely maintained and some of the best roads we found in Costa Rica. No real markets or restaurants too close, but there are options within a short drive. The JW Marriott also has 4 nice restaurants which appeared to be a little pricey until we ate in Tamarindo, which was also pricey, but not any different than a large US city. Also found out that the JW Marriott restaurants gave 10% off if you mention you were staying in Hacienda Pinilla. Golf course was in a beautiful area, but due to the dry season, the fairways and greens were in poor shape, but they did offer a reduced price. Drive from Liberia was an experience and it seems that Google does not route you through Hacienda Pinilla as it is a gateed community, which makes the drive longer and over a lot of dirt roads. Once we pinned the gate house, we could get in and out of the area much quicker. Overall, I highly recommend this property."
