Fantastic experience
We absolutely loved this cruise - although we booked to stay on Orchid Trendy, we were actually on Orchid Classic. I think the only real difference is that there were only 14 rooms on classic as opposed to 20 on Trendy so we were better off! We stayed in a family interconnecting rooms, accessible to each other via the wardrobe which the kids loved! Really excellent standard of room with a view to die for from the bed and bath. Food and service were fantastic throughout, especially from our tour leader, Mr Tien, who went above and beyond to help us when our ongoing flight was delayed, and our waitress, Sky. If anything there was too much food on occasion and we struggled to finish everything but didn’t want to offend! Drinks such as wine and smoothies are very expensive on board but cocktails, beer and other drinks not too bad. Enjoyed the excursions, especially the cycle to the little town (even in the rain!), having an unexpected foot massage by little fish, and kayaking. It would have been better if the day 2 tour had been taken on our own boat rather than having to transfer onto a day boat, but I understand they have to maximise their revenue by getting new customers on board while we were out (the guests were a mixture of people staying for 1 night or 2 nights - we were 2 nights - so while we were out on day 2 a new group checked in on the main boat). All in all we had a fantastic time and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Orchid cruises!

We stayed overnight with Orchid Trendy and it was an amazing experience, the team were always available and eager to please. The rooms are amzing, high quality food and shore experience to Cat Ba Island is worth the time. I would not hesitate booking again

Amazing experience
Amazing night on this fab boat. Ha Ling Bay is really worth the trip. Formations are stunning and they seem to go on for miles and miles. Service was brilliant really friendly staff. Good range of things to do with cave visit (better than expected), cooking class and some said fishing (good fun but I think rare to catch anything). Food was nice and great fun in the eve on the top deck bar looking at around all the other boats which looked great lit up at night. Watch out on your bar bill as they automatically pour doubles and bill racks up but thoroughly recommend this trip as amazing experience.

Impeccable service!
Service was amazing! We had a suite and a regular room and both were very clean and spacious. The manager and his staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They made sure our small party of 3 had everything explained in English including all the tours. It was so much fun for my son making friends with other children on board too.

Great way to start the new year
Wonderful cruise of Lan Ha Bay! This cruise takes you around Cat Ba Island, which is stunning, and arranged a few excursions — a cave tour, kayaking, a trip to the beach, and biking around Cat Ba. The boat itself is clean and well maintained, and the staff is the definition of professionalism. The food was abundant and good, but not spectacular. L We had such a relaxing time, and the two night cruise was the perfect length of time. Great way to start the new year.

Lovely staff and bathroom
We stressed a lot about finding the right cruise given the many options. We researched a lot and finally settled on Azalea and we were glad we did. It’s very clean and well appointed with a beautiful bathroom. The staff did their utmost to make you comfortable. It’s the touristy group cruise kind of a thing, which normally we are not fans of, but they did it well.

Effortless fun cruise
Excellent trip from the SUV limousine pick up, to the easy check in and organization of the trip. The food, service and scenery were excellent. The cruise line has at least 4 boats so they are doing something right. It was fun seeing all of the different boats on the bay. I would highly recommend doing the 3 day/night trip. The second day you cruise for maybe 1.5 hours on a day boat over to an island where you disembark and ride bicycles to a small village. On the return trip to the mother boat you are served a spectacular sit down lunch and have a chance to go kayaking. My only suggestion would be to skip the activity going to a cave on the first day I think better time would be relaxing on the boat. Good value for the money

I liked the views (even when foggy it was lovely). I did not like that the beverage options where so limited. They asked for any food preferences and definitely did not take them into a count.

The service was impeccable, from the moment the tender arrived we were transformed to a world of class. The food was exceptional, showcasing Vietnamese cuisine at its finest with many other international options. Excellent excursion with fantastic tour guides. We would have booked a 3 day cruise if we knew how amaziing this experience would be!

Entire staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Hugo and his group went of their way to make the trip an enjoyable, comfortable, and highly enriching trip. We did two nights which I highly recommend, you miss out on a lot of only doing one night and it would be rushed. Our room was great, though we did upgrade to the top level room providing two sided views of the bay and a large balcony. Excursion were well run, though I probably could have done without the tour on the last day, the cave tour. Overall, staff, food, facilities, were outstanding.

A beautiful experience at Azalea Cruise
The boat is new, the ship and the rooms are beautifully decorated. Especially the bathroom, it's of upscale standard. The abundant and plentiful food was carefully prepared and the crew members were super friendly as what Vietnamese are famous for. The crew leader, Hugo, was a responsible manager. For the hospitality it offered, we felt pampered. However, very unfortunately, I was assigned to a room with a very strong smell of stink! My other family members' room next to us had no such problem. The crew members couldn't fix it even though after my complaint! The smell of my room became the flaw out of the beautiful experience on the cruise. The experience would be more appreciated if more water activities had planned out. It's probably it's the winter time. no so much could be planned. After all, the experience of relaxation is very impressive and and memorable.

Great way to enjoy Halong bay
Overall we were very satisfied with our stay, although there are a few things that could be improved. I hope to return one day! We loved the clean room with a nice bathtub with the view. Food was great as well. It was nice to have free access to drinking water, but unfortunately the bottle lids were full of mold. The early morining kayaking in the quiet bay was very pleasant. Swimming was just jumping into the water from the cruise ship stopped offshore, so no resting on the beach. The shuttle car to and from was very bumpy.
