Hotel Palace Gyeongju

Hotel Palace Gyeongju

8/10 Good
"The bathroom was great. It had a huge, clean shower area, which was cool. The toilet was high tech for us :D. The room was big and clean and the air conditioner was great - quiet and cooled brilliantly. (I personally found the mattress a tad hard, but my son was fine with it). There were no bedside lights so the room lights had to be kept on. That was a bit odd at first, but I got used to it. There wasn't a room safe so valuables are left in the room. The breakfast buffet...wasn't bad per se, food is food. The breakfast area was...intimate. Imagine being in your grandmother's kitchen, fighting for a place at the table with weird cousins you don't know, while she's grimly doing the washing up. However, although the food options were limited, you could eat as much as you want, and I appreciated the grapes, apples and oranges. The staff had a business-like approach to welcoming customers, they got the job done. Actually there was one young man in particular who was lovely and he kindly helped when I couldn't figure out how to operate the shower. 10/10 for him! The location was excellent and ubers/taxis easy to get from there."
