  • Come stay at the beautiful and relaxing SOUTHERN SANDS 206 – a two bedroom, two bath rental right on the famous white sand beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama.

    This second-story, family-friendly condo has a stunning view from its double-sized balcony right on the beach – giving you, your family and friends your own private view of the palm trees, sand dunes and clear-blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Escape the crowds and steer clear of the packed high-rises: come breathe in the fresh beach air at this charming, 3-story development.

    The unit sleeps six people comfortably with one king bed, two twin beds and a sleeper sofa, along with two full bathrooms. It has a spacious kitchen for cooking meals and a dining area, as well as a living room with a large sofa and flat screen television. WiFi included.

    Outside, you can relax at the pool, or hit the beaches (chairs and umbrellas available for rent from beach service during the summer). You won’t find a better location – a walkable area about as close as you can get to the Hangout (home to the well-known music festival) and the annual National Shrimp Festival, as well as local seafood restaurants and beach bars. Shopping at the Tanger Outlets is an easy drive down the road.
    There are plenty of golf courses nearby too, as well as a zoo, waterparks and churches. This is a non-smoking, pet-free unit. Parking and laundry available. Book year round. Perfect for snowbirds!

Location is great, right on the beach and easy to get to, also not a very busy resort so no issues with parking or anything Condo is a bit outdated and can use some new furniture. Was a little disappointed in the amenities- no blow dryer, limited towels, but the location makes up for a lot. Overall our stay was pleasant, great place for families

We had a blast! The view from the condo was exactly what we hoped for, The water was beautiful and clear and the sand was super soft. There were many walkable restaurants and shops and the people were all very friendly. Great place to stay!

You cannot beat the location! I loved being on the second floor and just using the stairs. It’s not a large property so the pool was never crowded, it wasn’t ever noisy and we never waited on the elevator when we did use it. The walk out to the beach only takes a couple of minutes. We rented chairs for our stay so we never had to work to get out there. I just carried a small beach bag. It was so easy to pop in and out of our room to grab lunch or whatever during the day. We will absolutely rebook this property!

Family Beach Getaways

This condo is in a great location and was perfect for our small family. Plenty of stores and local restaurants within walking distance so you don’t have to worry about getting the car out after a long day on the beach. But if you do PARKING is awesome! Never had to worry about finding a spot. Highly recommend this rental. We’ll be back!

Southern Sands is a great place to vacation. Jane and Susie were fantastic to deal, text and talk too! It's been over 25 years since me and my family have stayed at Southern Sands and it felt so good to be back and making memories again!! I’m hoping to stay there again next year!

My family stayed here for our first time Gulf Shores. We loved the condo as it was a perfect location, right on the beach and close enough to walk to activities for the kids. The fact that it was a smaller complex allowed the kids to head down to the pool while we were still getting beach items ready. Would love to stay here again!
