Welcome to SS Minnow! SS Minnow is a quaint 2-bedroom, 1-bath beach cottage that is perfect for your next beach getaway! Guests will be able to relax on the spacious front porch while listening to the soothing sounds of the waves. The beach access is just steps from the front door. Bring Fido along, this home is pet-friendly for up to 2 dogs with an additional fee(s). Plan your getaway today!

About SS Minnow

Guests will find comfort and relaxation at SS Minnow and it is only a short walk to the beach. This home is perfect for couples or a small family. SS Minnow has an open kitchen, dining, and living area making this home perfect for entertaining. The living area is furnished with a comfortable living room set making this the perfect place to relax and watch a movie after a long day on the beach.

Guests will find two bedrooms and one bathroom in the unit to host four people. Bedroom #1 is equipped with a queen bed to sleep 2 and an LCD TV. Bedroom #2 is equipped with a full bed to sleep 2 and an LCD TV. Guests will share the hallway bath. SS Minnow is pet friendly and guests can bring up to two dogs for an additional fee.

Under the home is a picnic table and park-style charcoal grill to enjoy meals in the shade. This is where you will find the laundry room which includes a nice laundry sink. A bonus in this room is the private shower for washing off all the sand and saltwater from your daily beach adventures!

Fort Morgan

Fort Morgan is a quiet beach community away from the crowds and congestion. On the peninsula, guests will find the following restaurants: Tacky Jacks 2, Sassy Bass, The Coast Restaurant, The Village Hideaway, and The Kiva Grill. Guests can play golf at the Peninsula or at Kiva Dunes. There is an accessible boat launch and marina at the Gulf Shores Marina at Fort Morgan. Last but not least, there is a historical Civil War Site to explore at the Fort Morgan Historic Site. There is something for everyone in Fort Morgan!

We love people of all ages, and we want everyone to enjoy our homes.  However, we do require that an adult 25 years or older reserve the home and be present at the home during your entire stay. We do not rent to anyone under the age of 25.  We have no exception to this policy.

We had an amazing stay. Loved the location and how close the beach access is, and how close Sassy Bass is! We brought our dog and loved sitting on the porch with her and taking her to the beach! A gate at the porch would really take this pet friendly place to the next level. Overall we loved it and will be back!!

Winter Get Away

Best beach location we have ever had in Fort Morgan. We had great weather this year. Perfect beach for dog owners and other renters are always so friendly. Beach is always breathtaking.

S S Minnow

The Minnow isn’t fancy, but it is cute, cozy, and very clean! The beds were comfortable and everything in the house was in working order. We spent almost as much time on the upstairs balcony as we did on the beach. The location is a great one if you enjoy peace and quiet. We will rent the S S Minnow again.

Uss minnow.

Location was good, close to the beach, although the weather wasn’t that good for us to get some sun. Much cooler and windier than last year. The home could use some maintenance, screens ripped, paint chipping off cabinet one of the sliding doors hard to lock. Tv needs to have instructions on which controls to use. There were 3 and only needed 2. Blinds were broken. With this being said we enjoyed our stay, not sure if we are coming back to gulf shore, maybe try someplace new. Thank you.

Wonderful holiday

House was very clean and had all the things we needed. It was wonderful to have our dogs with us! Very easy walk to Sassy Bass for dinner and market. Quiet nice location.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed in this home. It's a great location to the beach as well as Sassy Bass. Food, Fun and Sun, can't ask for better.

Nice Little Place

This is a nice, little house with close beach access. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The management company was also very easy to work with and responsive. There is not a lot of lighting in the kitchen area- a brighter light would really help. Also, if you plan on cooking- bring a few of your own pots/pans as the selection at the house is very limited. We would stay here again. Thank You!

Location was awesome! Neighbors were great!

We had to leave 3 days early due to my dads death. Packed up quickly and left. Couple of suggestions we bought a coffee pot and left it there for next renters. Maybe have maids check that there is one there. There was not much light in kitchen if you tried to cook after dark. I believe downstairs toilet was not working.

Peaceful Retreat

This little cottage is one row off the beach, but still has a good view. Air blew cold the entire week. Beds were comfy. Location was peaceful with easy access to the beach (about a block's walk). Kitchen had basic essentials with a working electric oven, dishwasher, cold fridge. Shower has good water pressure. Washer/dryer worked nicely with a convenient downstairs bathroom with utility sink. Outdoor water hose as well. Easy access to the Sassy Bass store and restaurant (just across the back yard). We would definitely stay here again. I might suggest an in-sink disposal and an upstairs deck awning/roof, but those would be our only thoughts.

This was our second time at the SS Minnow and we had a great time! Great house at a perfect location. The property manager was extra helpful and communicative about some bad weather in the area. Will definitely be back!

Perfect property very close to the beach!

We had a great week at the SS Minnow! Great views of the Gulf, very quick walk to the beach and to the Sassy Bass for dining! The deck was absolutely lovely. Nice amounts of shade with an ocean view. Clean, comfortable beds. We will definitely be back!

Beach serenity

An adorable little house with the perfect porch for morning coffee, walks down the beach and getting away from it all. The house is clean with plenty of cooking supplies to cook at home, a small grocery 5 min walk for forgotten ingredients. Washer and dryer are a huge bonus with a downstairs shower for super sandy days. We will be back it met all of our needs to get away and relax!
