  • The Dunes is a gated condo complex with deeded beach access in the quiet part of Fort Morgan & Gulf Shores. The beach access is limited to two condo complexes and a small pocket of homes. This offers longs stretches of beach to enjoy with lots of privacy. From the condo, it is a two to three minute walk to the beach. The complex also includes an indoor pool with a hot tub, outdoor pool, and exercise room.

    Dunes #405 is a one-bedroom unit with two full bathrooms that also includes a bunk bed alcove. In addition, there is a new sleeper sofa in the living allowing for up to 6 guests. There is a fully functional kitchen with all of the appliances, cookware and utensils needed to meet your cooking needs. The televisions in the living room and bedroom are smart TVs with a Roku device that includes YouTube TV, NetFlix, Hulu and DisneyPlus programming. There is also high-speed internet in the unit.

    The Dunes is located near the Fort Morgan historic site and the ferry stop to Dauphin Island. Also, nearby is the popular Tacky Jack’s restaurant, Fort Morgan Marina, and several great golf courses.

    Rentals are available with a two-day minimum to weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or longer.

We had a great stay! Condo was very nice and clean, perfect for us and our 2 kids. The chair in the living room was perfect for us to rock our baby to sleep in! The walk to the beach was short. Condo was everything it said it would be! Clean, comfortable, fully equipped, updated with plenty of room. We were pleasantly surprised with all the beach items at the condo that we were able to use. Spring Break with my girls!

My daughter, two granddaughters (2 and 5 years old) and I stayed here for a short spring break trip. It was a great little trip, and the condo was just right for us. Everything was great and as advertised. Host was very good with communication. We stayed during a double red flag on the beach with high water and high rip tides. Overall great place to stay. Clean, quiet, family friendly, and responsive owner. Hike to get in to town, but knowing that going in, it’s fine. Only a few minor issues during our stay, but handled appropriately by owner, very promptly. Two things I would be cautious of, there were tons of yellow jackets in the pool, mainly the indoor section. Not the owners fault, but the condo doesn’t leave a net to scoop anything out, the lady would take it with her when she was done. My kids got stung on multiple occasions. Also, it appears a house is being built, which will directly obstruct the view of the ocean, like in one of the photos of the property. Updating that photo will be crucial once the home is framed.

Almost perfect for a small getaway!

It was beautifully decorated, all beds were comfortable, communication with the owner was really easy. The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of all 5 stars was because the shower in the bathroom in the bedroom didn’t have a shower head it’s just a pipe so it’s a little harder to make sure everything is clean and the second reason is because when you go on the balcony the sliding glass door is really tricky to close right to keep the air on so we had to constantly open and close it until the air would come back on or stay on. Other than that everything was perfect! If those two things were fixed I’d definitely book it again.

Family trip

Every year our entire family has stayed in the same condominiums just spread out in gulf shores but this year we decided to try and do the same in Fort Morgan and we’re so glad we did! The area is perfect. It looks like a much further walk to the beach than it is. Majority of the walk is paved and then you have a quick walk through the sand to the water. The pool area is super nice and everything was so clean. We needed to contact the owner on two separate occasions and he called us within 3 minutes both times. The condo itself was extremely clean and had several things we needed already. We are already looking at rebooking!

Exactly like it looks and professional response.

Everything was a breeze. He was responsive from day 1. He kept in touch and gave every thing we needed in advance and I didn't have to bother him at all. I will suggest if staying here to keep in mind of food before heading to the house because it is on the quietest place on earth and very peaceful so the food places are 15 mins away once you hit the strip for the beach. Overall I will book again. Definitely worth the price. There is room to sleep 6-7 easily.

Loved this condo at the DUNES!!!!

Just returned from Fort Morgan and LOVED our week at the Dunes! This condo was absolutely perfect for our small group of three!!! It had everything we needed for a perfect week! The beach was just a short, walk away! The kitchen was well stocked, and there was nothing that we needed to bring along! The beautiful view of the ocean is great to wake up to every morning! Everything was freshly redone, and extremely clean! The maintenance crew did a wonderful job, keeping the property fresh and clean! The pool was a perfect temperature, and never crowded! Our condo owner was very helpful with anything that we needed! We will definitely be back because this condo met all of our needs and priced right for a small group!!!

Great place to stay

When we walked into the condo we were greeted with a burst of cold air and clean smell. This doesn't always happen, so it was a pleasant surprise. The unit was great for my family of 4. My 13yr old son and 14yr old daughter slept in the bunk beds and I never heard a complaint. The view was amazing and the walk to the beach took less than 10 minutes. We did quite a bit of cooking "in house". The selection of pots and pans was enough to get all our meals cooked. The communication with the owner was great. He responded quickly to any question that I had. Would definitely recommend this place and consider staying there again.

Wonderful Girls Trip!

The property was perfect for the 3 of us. The condo was exactly as the listing described. We had plenty of room and the view of the ocean from the balcony was beautiful. It was only a short walk to the beach. We were excited to discover that the condo had a beach wagon that we used to carry our items to the beach. Plus it had several chairs and other beach items if needed. You could also view the bay from the breezeway of the condo. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the condo and how well stocked it was. The bed and bunk beds were very comfortable. The washer and dryer was another plus. The owner was very responsive to all our questions and checked to make sure that we made it to the condo safely and if we had any questions during our stay. I would definitely come back!

Clean, Nicely decorated, and Great beach access!!

Very clean!! Updated and modern, yet very comfortable. Located on 4th floor, however there are 2 elevators and we never waited more than about a minute for an elevator. There are carts at the elevator for you use to help you easily get your luggage to the condo (which was unexpected and very helpful). It’s about a 3-5 minute walk to beach, but it’s all on pavement until you actually hit the sand, so it’s a VERY easy walk. The pool Is large, goes from 3-5 feet deep and the hot tub was great! If you’ve never been to gulf shores before, be sure to pick up a bucket and net from wal-mart and go out to the beach after dark to hunt for ghost crabs (super fun activity that our family LOVES!)…just be sure to release them back into the water/sand. Lastly, the owner was very friendly and responsive, so if you need anything he’s super helpful.
