The location was perfect, right on the beach and away from the hustle and bustle. There’s is a public beach access nearby so there was some people on the beach but plenty of room for everyone
Had the most relaxing time. Would stay here again. Have already recommended to friends. 10/10

Total Relaxation
What a great week! Loved the quiet beach and the dogs who played there. It was reminiscent of the beaches 50 years ago before the developers moved in. The house was perfect- old style beach house with modern amenities! We slept with the porch doors open to the sound of the surf and a great nighttime breeze! A perfectly relaxing week in all respects!
Overall the place was fantastic. The rooms were clean, the view was amazing, and there were not a lot of neighbors this time of year. The only issues we had were with the internet (some of us still had to work at times) the internet was erratic and after the 2nd day was out completely. But other than that the house was amazing and we will definitely stay here again.

Beachfront Escape
Our family of 7 enjoyed a fantastic week at this property in April. This house was perfect for us! The house is well maintained, well stocked and the beds were all very comfortable. (The only thing I would change is to add some dishcloths and dishtowels; one of each was not nearly enough.) I could keep talking about the inside of the house, but realistically we spent little time there. The true gem of this property is the screened in porch; how I wish I could have taken that porch and view home with me! What a treat it was to sit out there everyday (morning, noon or night) and listen to and watch the waves. Our final day there we saw dolphins in the morning and the evening. Our daughters spent so much time on the swing on the porch, even napping there sometimes. I love the fact that there were no bugs whatsoever that could get to us. We were able to keep an eye on our kids from the porch, as the water is even closer than it appears in the pictures. We spent so much time on the beach and in the waves, and then it was so easy to run up for a snack or whatever else we would need. This home is about 15-20 mins away from town, so the beach was not at all crowded. (It does seem a little remote, though, so if you are looking to stay in a "town" this is not the place for you.) We were hoping to get away from the hustle and bustle, so it was perfect for us. We would not hesitate to rent this property again, and hope to return again someday. Thank you for maintaining and sharing such a beautiful property!
We wanted to be "away from it all" and "right on the beach" and this house filled both of those things perfectly. The house is right on the beach, with 1 awesome master suite on one side and then 2 bedrooms on the other side. The king bed on the other side, faces the ocean and has a slider out to the porch, just like the master. The screened in porch has a large dining table and is great for eating breakfast and dinner (a little hot for lunch in the summer). Unfortunately, the bedroom with 2 twin beds on the back side of the house is really small, dark and noisy because it's right next to the AC unit on the porch that faces away from the ocean. So, no views, plus it was always hot in that room, the AC didn't seem to cool it properly, while the rest of the house was quite cold. There was a large ceiling fan, but it only had 2 settings: wind tunnel (high) and rusty train (medium) speed. Our children who shared that room didn't mind the "white noise," but it's definitely something you wouldn't expect. All of the bedrooms have their own toilet, which is super convenient. The fridge has an icemaker, which is great, because not all house rentals have that feature. One thing that was a bummer, we arrived at 3:45 and our check-in was at 4pm, but the code didn't "work" until 4:15 - standing outside trying to get it to work and then not being able to get through on the phone lines was frustrating. I did send text messages, which seemed the best way to communicate and I was relieved that we got in by 4:15.

A Week at Gulf Shores
Upon arrival of Driftwood Inn, we were initially extremely pleased. The house was as advertised.
The house overall is in need of a renovation. The kitchen is small, tight, and barely functional for more than 1 person in it at a time. While there are ample supplies of dishes, there is NO space at all for any place to put your groceries except the refrigerator. As we started pulling dishes out to use, bowls to clean our food, etc, we noticed that pretty much everything needed to be washed. The giant spider living behind the microwave gave us all a startle, but it has been eliminated. A pest control service should be used as many others pests were seen and dealt with.
The house cools nicely thanks to the workhorse air conditioner. The ceiling fans in all the rooms help nicely too. We had issues with the family room fan stuck in the "high" setting, but that was resolved by mgmt on Monday of our stay.
It is nice the linens are supplied so those don't need to be packed or rented, however, 1 kitchen towel is not enough for ANY kitchen. While the new laundry machines are available to wash your own towels, it would just be nice to not have to constantly be doing laundry.
The bathroom linens supplied were sufficient. Bathroom cleanliness was average. Along with the kitchen, things were not done thoroughly. The cleaning service should be talked to about spending more time. Kitchen floor had hair, dust, dog food left over from previous guests. Bathroom floors had hair and dust.
A vacuum was supplied, but NO broom (at a beach house, really?)
Beds are hard and extremely uncomfortable, these should be replaced.
Porch was used everyday for meals. This is a great addition to the property, but the screens need to be replaced on the doors as they have been ripped or cut by previous guests to allow entry after being locked out of the porch. This is usually a $20 fix, and about an hour to do at most.
The dual decks again, are a beautiful addition to the house, however, the stairs going down from the master side of the house are connected to the rest of the deck by 1 nail. They move and shift while stepping on it. This is a DANGEROUS HAZARD and need to be repaired or replaced IMMEDIATELY. Thankfully the east side house deck seems to be fine.
All in all, a descent week despite the things noted. Hopefully the issues are taken care of for future guests.

this house was excellent for our stay at Fort Morgan. My Mom is elderly and has back problems the accommodations were perfect for our Mothers Day trip.
House was great. Location perfect. We loved the screen porch & the easy access to the beach! Great place to unwind & enjoy time with family. We will plan to come back!
Driftwood Inn was a blissful break from the chaos called life. It was very nice and well maintained. Kitchen is well stocked. Looking forward to another visit!
Great home with a perfect layout for our family. Both adult rooms open directly into the deck with a glorious screened porch in between with a table for outside dining. Nicely equipped kitchen. The cleaning crew was running behind on our arrival date but the company communicated and worked to make things right. We already booked this property again.
We loved the accommodations, the decks, the screen porch and especially the puppy gates at each entrance, and even the fenced area for pet's business. The home was in very nice condition on the interior, but could use some minor repairs to the exterior.
Overall, loved the stay, loved the location and will likely return in the future.
We brought our kids to the beach for spring break. It turned out it was a great way to get away and reflect on the beauty of God’s creation. The house was wonderful. It gave us plenty of space for meals , games and movie time. We enjoyed the screened in porch although I was glad we brought an out door insect repellent. It made the space a fun place for a lunch break from the beach. The kitchen was well appointed with all of the dishes and tools we could need to make our meals. With social distancing in place we made our meals at our beach retreat. The last day of the trip the beaches were closed but we still could see and hear the waves crashing while we played card games. We felt blessed to be temporarily insulated from all of the chaos that was going on around the world with Covid 19. Thank you Driftwood Inn for a wonderful family time.
Had a great time at the Driftwood Inn. The view is magnificent, everything was s described. Would definitely rent again / recommend!!!!
Just a few minor issues.
1.The mattress in master bed needs replaced.
2. Back door deadbolt is broken and unable to lock door.
3. Laundry dryer has issues. Sometimes it starts sometimes it doesn't.
Loved the house my friend and I stayed with my dog I have come down 5 years in a row. This is the first year we were directly on the beach and loved it.
The house was clean, and we had plenty of room. I was able to do some fishing out in the back yard. Overall it was a great time and we will be back next year Thanks again.

Nice house, good location, pet friendly - but don't bring small pets
We enjoyed many parts of this rental, and were disappointed in a few.
Pros: clean, tidy, renovated, charming, good garage, easy walk to beach, linens provided.
Cons:
*We booked a pet-friendly house deliberately and were excited about the fenced-in enclosure allowing dogs access to the inside, the deck and a small play yard. We did not anticipate that the rails of the fence would be so wide that our dog could scoot right through.
*We were also excited about the screen porch facing the ocean -- except that the screens were detached, blowing in the wind.
*One room with twin beds was cramped and extremely LOUD because the AC unit was only inches away from the beds, separated only by a piece of glass.
*The other room with one bed was lovely, but had an AC vent right over the bed, which dripped all night on anyone sleeping there.
*The washing machine worked once. When we called property management to fix it, they said it wasn't an emergency and would put the ticket in line. Called back two days later; after 20 minutes on the phone and significant debate, we finally got word that the last renters had reported a problem and there was a replacement part on order. Instructions were to unplug the washer for 30 seconds, then plug back in. That finally worked -- but a note or some notice beforehand would have saved us all a lot of work.
*Dishwasher worked, but was mounted incorrectly, so when the door was open and the racks loaded, the washer fell about 3 inches out of its mounting.
*It took 4 days for the AC system to cool the house to 70 (while keeping doors and windows closed).
*The outdoor shower was barely functional, with missing pieces that would compromise privacy.
*Teeny, tiny shower in the master; guest shower had a glass door that was improperly mounted and swung freely in a dangerous way.
