Welcome to Ocean Reef 601!

Ocean Reef in Gulf Shores is in a prime location, within walking distance to the center of town! This cozy 2 bedroom condo is located on the first floor and accommodates up to 6 guests. 2BR/1BA unit has a private balcony with a partial view of the beach. Shops and dining close by and an easy walk to town -- just a few steps to the white sand beach!

Complimentary, free WiFi included. 60" Smart TV available in the living room. This fully equipped vacation home has D/W, 3 Flat Screen TVs, 2 DVD players, icemaker and all appliances.

The master bedroom offers an upgraded king mattress ensuring rest and total comfort. Both bedrooms have access to the private balcony.

Front door opens to beautiful pool alcove. Covered parking for 2 compact cars or 1 full size vehicle, permit required ($32/each); Parking pass(es) will be purchased on-site at the guard shack, which is located in front of the pool, after 4pm CT. The parking pass must be purchased with cash only. BBQ area next to gorgeous pool. Coin-operated Washer/Dryer facility on-site. COMPLEX & POOL RENOVATED!! Recently updated pool decking, paint, siding and roofs for complex.

Property pictures were exactly what the property looked like. Within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Easy access to the beach and the pool was nice when we didn’t want to go to the beach. We would stay there again.

Exactly what we needed

We had a chance to go and watch my daughter's team for the college beach volleyball tournament being held outside The Hangout. This place popped up with a great price, perfect fit for sleeping and within walking distance to the courts. We were pleasantly surprised, given the age of the property, at how quaint and comfortable it is. The location is perfect for walking to shops, restaurants and of course, the beach. We would definitely book this place again. Also, it was super clean!

A great location for beach access and quiet, but close to several restaurants and shops.

Ocean Reef 601 was easy to find and the parking spot and view directly overlooks the access to the beach. The beach access is literally a 1 minute walk from the condo’s door! Pool and laundry access right outside the door. Location is just 2 blocks from the main drag which kept it quiet from rowdy tourists, but close enough to walk to several restaurants/shops. We would definitely recommend this location to friends.

Amazing stay

This was a wonderful place to stay. The location was perfect. The only complaint I would mention is that the walls are thin. You can hear your neighbors really well. Luckily everything did quiet down by 11 every evening. I would highly recommend this condo.

Fantastic view

We stayed in unit 601 with our 4 kids and had a great stay. The views were fantastic from each bedroom and the beach was within a few steps - the picture is no lie. The kitchen was well equipped with all we needed. You couldn't beat the location as we took the kids on walks to the souvenir shops, the Hangout, Bahama Bobs, ice cream, etc. Would definitely recommend this place.

A really nice place to stay!

The location was perfect. The condo could use some updated items in the kitchen. The place was clean, but after taking a shower I noticed my feet would be dirty (not sandy.)They need to have the cleaning crew mop the tile. We would definitely return!

Steps from the sand. Nice pool, responsive manager. Would suggest management consider adding the following missing unexpected items: blow dryer (had to purchase one), non see through curtains in the kids’ room, a blender (this was a real disappointment), colander, and a slotted spoon. Otherwise we had what we needed.

In the original listing, the sofa was a sofa sleeper. We went in expecting our oldest daughter to be able to sleep on that. She cannot bed share with her two little sisters. I was very disappointed when I went to pull out her sleeper bed and it was a very hard couch. She had to spend the week sleeping on a couch that isn’t comfortable at all. I don’t see how this place sleeps 6. 2 people cannot sleep on the top bunk. It felt very shaky and full size beds aren’t made for two adults or even two bigger kids. But we made it work the best we could.

Great little condo in Gulf Shores near The Hangout

The condo was very clean and well equipped. Views from the balcony (both bedrooms shared one balcony) were great. The complex had everything you could want, including an ice machine ($3.75 for 10 lbs) and grills. Pool was very clean, lots of shade from the buildings and lots of tables with chairs/umbrellas. Access to the beach was very easy, too. And even though I'm sure the place was full, I didn't hear too much noise (other than the lawn maintenance folks blowing sand off the pavement for a good while) from either the occupants or the street. I really liked the location of this condo within the complex. It had the views, the easy parking and beach access we desired. A/C worked great, kitchen was well stocked and plenty of towels and even an extra set of sheets, if you wanted to use the pull out couch. The owners keep a large dish with shells in it that folks have written little mementos on about their beach visit, which was really cool and the walls were nicely decorated so you didn't feel like you were in a run-of-the mill, chain condo. There was even a "book lending shelf" in one of the closets. And LOTS of channels and movies available on the TV. Like I said in the title - it is walking distance to the Hangout, the public beach access / parking and lots more. Plus, of course, all the Alvin's Islands you could want. All in all, we were very pleased and I would definitely rent again!
