About this property

Beach Lovers! - Beautiful House, just steps to the beach. Great Location!

  • The Summer Salt underwent a complete renovation in 2013, and feature large decks on the West and East ends of the house. The West Deck provides a great unobstructed view of the Gulf. The house has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths and a very large great room/kitchen.

    We provide satellite TV with televisions in all rooms and wireless internet access. Parking under the house for 1 car with parking for 2 additional vehicles in the driveway.

    The maximum occupancy is 6.

    The master bedroom has a private bath, patio door to the deck and a king-size bed.

    The second bedroom has a twin bed and two bunk beds (sleeps 3). An additional cot sleeps 1 if needed.

    Summer Salt is a non-smoking house, and pets and firearms are not allowed.

This was a great house for my family of 5! Very comfortable beds for all. Farmhouse table was great for celebrating a birthday! The walk to the beach was super quick and the view from the back deck was really great. Good selection of beach equipment. The communication with Donny was quick and effective. We would definitely stay here again.

This home was perfect for our first family vacation as a family of 4! The proximity to the beach was perfect! There was a restaurant and ice cream shop 2 minutes away which was great! It was 30 minutes from Gulf Shores where we spent 2 days as well. We were able to take the ferry to Dauphine Island one day which was a fun rreat

Much Needed Relaxation

We had a very relaxing week. My husband played a round of golf every day and I relaxed. We enjoyed walking on the beach at the end of every day. Great location and only a few steps from the beach.

Simply a perfect little house, cottage, bungalow by the beach! Donny & Kay are wonderful hosts, the house is just as pictured including the view of the water, and it’s clean and well stocked for a vacation stay. We loved this house! It was the perfect size for our family of 4. We cooked all of our meals during our stay and the kitchen was nice and well stocked. Very close to the beach. Was easy to walk back and forth to eat and take breaks. Would definitely stay there again.

Father's Day getaway

The house was clean and had everything one could need to cook/eat in for the family . Everyone were happy with their beds ( we didn't use the extra since we were 5ppl. The 100 or so steps to the beach = awesome. We hope to be able to come back some day.

It was perfect for me and husband. The area was quiet. I loved how close we were to the beach however the house could use some updates. The front deck needs trance before someone gets hurt.

Great Vacation

We enjoyed the house. It was close to the beach and was comfortable. The house does need a little maintenance on the stairs. One side has been updated but the other side had some loose boards, handrail, etc. Otherwise, it was nice to be able to see the water from the back deck. The couch was nice and the bed was comfortable. Looking forward to a future stay.

I wanted to love this place but it was so dirty! I had to wash the floors and wipe things down in order to be comfortable enough to stay there. There was dust on all the blinds and the windows and doors were sticky and dirty. Whoever is paid to clean does not do a good job. There was a wet mop and bucket left in the laundry area that smelled. We had to close the door to the second bedroom because there was a strange smell in there. The pans were all scratched beyond use, so I made a trip to the store to buy something usable. Hubby had to fix the door so it would close and replace a blinking light bulb under the deck. The locking mechanisms on the doors need attention too. We did love the area and had a nice time on the beach and biking at Gulf State Park trails. The king bed was comfortable. The living room furniture was ok. I would not rent this place again or recommend it to anyone. I feel like I paid for cleaning services that I did not receive. We left it cleaner than we got it. The dishes were okay, but bring your own pans if you rent here and want to do any cooking.
