For the best views over Guanajuato I’d go up the funicular in late afternoon/ early evening and watch the colours change as the sun goes down

A very safe place to visit. Attractions are beautiful. The underground roadways are spectacular. The evening entertainment is wonderful even if you can't speak Spanish. The locals are cvery friendly and beggars are almost non existent.
