"🇺🇸 As an American visiting Brazil, I felt very safe and welcomed. Everyone was super nice, helpful, and friendly. The nightlife here is 🔥 busy — especially since you’re right in the city center. If you’re hoping for a quiet, relaxing night, just know this area stays active late 🌃. 📍 You’re walking distance to popular spots like the Arches of Lapa and the Selarón Steps 🎨, which is perfect for sightseeing. Breakfast 🍽️ in the mornings is nice, though it can get a little repetitive if you’re staying for a while. The staff was always accommodating and kind 🙌. 🛏️ The room itself was nice and comfortable, but the bathroom 🚽 felt a little dated — the toilet showed some yellowing and could use an upgrade. There were snacks 🍫 and drinks in the room, but they’re pricey 💸. It’s better to grab the same things at a local supermarket 🛒 for way cheaper. 🏊‍♂️ I wish the pool and gym 🏋️‍♀️ stayed open 24 hours (they close at 10 PM ⏰). But with Brazil’s famous beaches 🏖️ like Flamengo, Copacabana, Ipanema, and more nearby, you’ll have plenty of options to enjoy during the day 🌞. Overall, it’s a fun and convenient spot if you want to be in the heart ❤️ of the action and experience Rio’s nightlife, culture, and energy ✨."

"We stayed at the hotel with family and friends for a week to attend a wedding It was very convenient, in a safe area and is well maintained. the housekeeping staff do a great job We ate at Canto several times - Food and service is excellent During our stay there was a festival lunch in the Grand Ballroom - the buffet spread, music and service was marvellous The highlight for us was The Grand Club. Such helpful, kind and pleasant staff and a good selection of food at breakfast and cocktail hour, Only negative was that despite booking numerous rooms, an upgrade for two nights was declined, apart "

One of the things that really sets this hotel apart is that it’s the only hotel in Rio with direct access to a private beach. Another huge plus was the heated pool. Not every place in Rio offers this, and it made all the difference, especially on cooler days when I still wanted to swim and unwind comfortably. What really made a difference for me was the kindness and flexibility the team showed by allowing me a late check-out. It gave me the chance to fully enjoy my last day in Rio without feeling rushed, and I’m so grateful for that extra level of care.
