"Imagine arriving at a picturesque villa overlooking the Adriatic Sea after a 16 hour day of travel and walking in to the aroma of a home cooked Italian dinner. That is what our group of 10 friends were able to experience at our recent 5 night stay. Our host Gaia was very responsive from the moment we booked the villa helping us coordinate many local activities including our chef. The villa was very clean and orderly just as it was pictured on VRBO. Beautiful views both day and night from the many levels of the house. The pool was crystal clear and very refreshing. It was an amazing experience!"

"I arrived at the property to find a filthy pool that looks nothing like the photos, a broken back door that did not lock and had a 6" opening exposed to the outside, feral cats and a general mess. I could not stay at this house as it was unsafe and smelled like gas in the kitchen. I was forced to find a hotel at 6pm at night and then had to arrange for another place to accommodate my family. I am know trying to get my money refunded but the WOWhomes people (the management company) are very unresponsive. DO not stay at this house as it is nothing like the photos!"

"The house was in a lovely location but was very tired. Worn paint in the kitchen and a broken glass cook top. It is very small, no living area and only one air conditioning unit in the hallway to service the whole house. This means you have to sleep with all bedroom doors wide open in order to keep cool at night. We had a problem where the very bright outdoor lights were on an auto timer until at least 3am every night and without shutters or adequate curtains made it very difficult to sleep in brightly lit up bedrooms. I asked daily for this to be addressed and it sadly was not, despite being told every day it was.The biggest disappointment to me was arriving and having to make all of the beds up myself. We were left only sheets, no blankets and one pillow each. Having paid extra for the use of sheets and extra for cleaning I would have expected to at least have the beds made up on arrival.The outdoor area had not been cleaned and they don’t provide any cleaning supplies, even to clean the kitchen bench so I had to purchase cleaning supplies to clean myself.Overall the house, anmenities and complication of all the forms, extra charges (you pay extra for electricity too) were extremely disappointing. I’ve given it an ok rating because the location is very lovely and it was great being so close to the sea.It felt pretty unloved and not at all like the lovely styled images on the website"

"Bellissima settimana in Salento grazie alla casa "Stella Marina" che ha veramente tanti punti di forza: Ha una bellissima vista sul mareUn terrazzo vivibile e frescoLa casa all interno, pur essendo piccolina, è dotata di tutti i comfort.Maria ha un tocco molto personale relativo al design: tutto è curato meravigliosamente nei minimi dettagli. La posizione della casa è strategica: una manciata di gradini la separano da una delle calette più belle di castro: la cala dell'Argentiera. Ad un paio di km c' è anche cala acqua viva con acqua sorgiva. Castro ci è piaciuta molto: i luoghi, il mare, il sole, il vento, il cibo, la disponibilità e la gentilezza dei suoi abitanti....speriamo di tornare presto!Monica e Stefano"

"Great stay. Super attentive staff. Much better than all the surrounding “homes” for rent in the area. Everything was available there, food, parking, clean room, services. Everything!!!"
