Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Grilli?
The best area to stay in Grilli is within the main village itself, or in one of the beautifully restored farmhouses or villas just outside its perimeter.

Staying in the village centre puts you right at the heart of Grilli, with easy access to its local trattorias, cafes, and the small, friendly community atmosphere. It's a compact area, making it very walkable, and you'll find a few local shops for essentials. This is ideal for couples who appreciate being able to stroll out for an evening meal or a morning coffee without needing a car.

For those who prefer more space and a tranquil setting, a restored farmhouse or villa in the immediate countryside surrounding Grilli is an excellent option. These properties often come with private pools, expansive gardens, and stunning views of the Tuscan landscape, offering a luxurious and private retreat.
When is the best time to go to Grilli?
The best time to visit Grilli, Tuscany, is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months.

Spring offers pleasant temperatures, typically ranging from 15Ā°C to 25Ā°C, making it ideal for exploring the Tuscan countryside and enjoying outdoor activities like cycling or walking through the vineyards. The landscape is lush and green, and you'll find fewer crowds compared to the peak summer season. This period is particularly good for couples looking for a romantic escape, with plenty of opportunities for scenic drives and al fresco dining.

Autumn also provides lovely weather, with temperatures generally between 18Ā°C and 28Ā°C. This is harvest season, so you'll experience the region at its most productive, with olive oil and wine production in full swing. Truffle hunting tours are also popular at this time. For those interested in culinary experiences and local traditions, autumn offers a rich and rewarding visit. Families might enjoy the various festivals and food markets that take place during this period.

While summer (July and August) is popular, temperatures can be very high, often exceeding 30Ā°C, and attractions can be more crowded.
