"The attic apartment was a great find! View of the main Neckar River bridge on one side and view of the Heidelberg castle on the other side!! Big bedroom, small kitchen, nice bathroom with shower, separate bathtub, 2 sinks! Just be prepared to walk up little stairs to the 5th floor, which was a bit hard with luggage but fine after that. 10. "Smart Apartment" Heidelberg

Ziegelhausen

"This property is spacious and well appointed, with a beautiful view of the hills above Heidelberg. A few things could be improved upon: firstly, when we arrived, our sheets and towels we had ordered months in advance were not there in the apartment. I called them and they said the sheets and towels would be there within an hour, but did not really have an explanation as to why they were not there to begin with. Secondly, communication with the host prior to the trip was only so-so. They...

Was nice to have an option to purchase snacks and drinks onsite. Vrbo states English, but all communications were in German. Close to home owner who goes to sleep at 9pm, and there is a charge for everything… sauna, extra towel, parking, bikes…so be aware. No self check in, so you will need to set a time to check in."

Best Western Plus Delta Park Hotel

8/10 Good

"Close to Mannheim main station. Reasonable breakfast."

Premier Inn Heidelberg City Bahnstadt

10/10 Excellent

Parkhotel Mannheim

8/10 Good

"A once fabulous hotel started to age. While things are okay, many items could be repaired or updated. Lightbulbs vibrate and hum loudly in the room. One of them was so loud that I could not dare to keep on. Else the carpets in the elevator need replacement. The bath tub ranks in the most slippery category and felt dangerous, the shower curtain refuses to move, and the tub does not drain well. Calls to reception are not being answered and staff is absent during checkout causing 15min delays."
