Rustic Family Camp Steps from Moosehead Lake: Deck, Fire Pit, & Dog-Friendly
YOUR MAINE SUMMER STARTS HERE
Welcome to our little slice of Maine! Our rustic, family-owned camp sits on quiet Harford’s Point, just a short walk from beautiful Moosehead Lake. It’s a place to slow down, enjoy the outdoors, and make memories together.
Whether you’re planning a family vacation, a getaway with friends, or a relaxing retreat for two, the camp is a comfortable home base for exploring the Moosehead region, with plenty of reasons to spend a quiet day right here.
AT A GLANCE

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
Bedroom 1: Queen bed Bedroom 2: Double bed Living room: Double futon Sunroom: Double futon
Please note: The camp has a somewhat unconventional layout that requires traffic flow to pass through the main bedroom. We share this up front so your group can choose the arrangement that works best for you. See "Cabin Floor Plan" in picture gallery.
RELAX AND UNWIND
Start your morning with coffee in an Adirondack chair on the private deck, listening to the birds and watching for deer, chipmunks, and hummingbirds. After a day of exploring, fire up the gas grill, then gather around the fire pit for s’mores, stories, and a star-filled Maine sky.
Inside, the open living area and sunroom give everyone room to spread out. Curl up with a good book, put on a movie from our DVD collection, or bring out the board games and cards. On cool evenings, the wood stove adds that classic camp warmth. We provide firewood for both the stove and the fire pit, so you can spend less time preparing and more time enjoying your stay.
UNPLUG AND RECONNECT
Our camp is Wi-Fi-Free, a chance to step away from screens and enjoy each other’s company. Cell service is generally reliable for most carriers, and the public library in Greenville offers internet access if you need it. A flat-screen TV with DVDs is available for movie nights.
A SHORT WALK TO THE LAKE
There are 2 lake access points. The first is about 100 yards from the camp. A trailhead across the road leads to a quiet dock, perfect for morning coffee, peaceful lake views, or stargazing. The second access point has a grassy beach, a nice option for families with children or anyone looking for a quiet afternoon by the water. See map in picture gallery.
EXPLORE THE MOOSEHEAD LAKE REGION
Adventure is never far away! Within a short drive you’ll find hiking trails for all abilities, fishing and boating, golf, white-water rafting, and scenic places to explore. The roads around Harford’s Point are also great for walking, jogging, and biking.
In Greenville, you’ll find restaurants, grocery stores, outfitters, gift shops, and museums. Rent kayaks, canoes, or bikes, book a moose safari or scenic flight, or take a cruise on the historic steamship Katahdin (affectionately known as the “Kate”).
Or skip the itinerary entirely. Some of the best vacation moments come from slowing down, breathing in the fresh Maine air, and simply being together.
BRINGING YOUR DOG
We know dogs are family, and up to two are welcome! A one-time $85 pet fee applies. We ask that dogs be supervised during their stay and crated whenever left alone inside. Sorry, no cats.
We hope you’ll love our family camp as much as we do! Come for the lake, the hiking, and the adventures, but leave time for quiet mornings, evening fires, and the simple pleasure of being at camp and making memories.
We look forward to sharing our little piece of Maine with you!

A beautiful cozy cabin that was located perfectly between two water access points. An added bonus of the wood for the inside wood stove and outside firepit was included and the property managers were extremely responsive bringing a new propane tank when it was empty on arrival. The cabin stayed cool, the beds were comfortable, and the sounds of the birds were incredible! Also- pet friendly! Loved everything about the place! Would highly recommend for a family trip, solo trip, friends trip- anything. A short drive to Greeneville Junction, and about 20 minutes to Kineo. 5 stars
Great stay for a couple of nights in this comfy cabin. Short, easy walk to nice swimming area. Convenient ( 10 minutes) to Greenville and good hiking trails (Big and Little Moosehead Mountains).

rustic roomy quiet cabin with beautiful lake access on one of Maine's stunning lakes. cabin had everything you could need.
This was our second year in a row staying at this cabin and we loved our stay again! Clean, cute, and cozy! Plus close to the lake and downtown Greenville. And dog friendly which is a huge plus for our family :)
Loved our weekend stay. Beautiful area. Very nice quiet neighborhood. Great place to walk. Close to town. Cottage was very comfortable and cozy. Enjoyed listening to the loons.
We enjoyed all that Moosehead Lake had to offer. We loved the cabin and location. We wished there was more of a welcome packet with info about area, directions to the lake and the uniqueness of the cabin. Having said that we thorough enjoyed our stay.
Lovely and clean rustic cabin! Rooms are comfortable and cozy and include all the necessary amenities. Our host was always very prompt in responding to messages. I would definitely recommend this cabin!
This cabin is so cozy and comfortable. I loved being off-line with no Internet access and the chance to play card games, board games, cool tasty meals, and go exploring outdoors! Very relaxing scene there at Moosehead lake!
All you have to do is bring yourself! The cabin has everything that you need. Roomy, with three sleeping areas and a nice kitchen with everything you need.
It was quiet and comfortable. Lots to do in the area. Moosehead Lake is beautiful.
We loved our stay at this cabin! So cute and clean, in a great location close to downtown Greenville and Lily Bay State Park! It was quiet, cozy, and lovely. Plenty of space for our little family! We enjoyed the walk across the street right down to the dock and a peaceful sit by the lake. And we enjoyed a relaxing night by the campfire. It was the perfect getaway for us!
Clean and comfortable cabin . Very short walk to beautiful view of Moosehead lake. Great location for exploring the area . Loved Squaw valley golf course , not fancy but challenging and reasonable . Katahdin boat ride was great . Short ride to town , Dockside and Kelly's landing recommended . Thanks for the stay .
The cabin was perfect, it was very clean and cozy just as described by the host. Close to town and great hikes and golf. The only thing missing was a lake view from the cabin...but grateful that we had two ways to access the water. Thanks so much for letting us stay on such short notice. We love Moosehead Lake and the area holds special memories for us.
“Slice of Heaven” was just that. I visit Moosehead Lake quite often as Maine is the only place I ever want to visit. The cabin was perfect. Lovely deck for the rainy days, loads of sleeping areas for extra people or different nap locations. The kitchen was stocked, bathroom was functional and comfortable”e too! The windows and fans helped cool things off for the warmer days. The best part, I was allowed to bring my two pups to enjoy the majesty of Moosehead as well! I’m really not sure who enjoyed our stay more, but we truly appreciate allowing us to spend time together in heaven.
What a cozy little camp for our getaway to Moosehead Lake. The camp was very cozy and very clean. Lots of sleeping room, kitchen fully equipped, all of the linens, bath towels etc were provided. We enjoyed the short walk to a dock or to the Grassy beach area to enjoy the Lake views. We absolutely loved the outdoor area both the covered the porch and we also loved being able to have a quiet evening by the fire. Close to Greenville and Lily Bay State Park. The entire trip was relaxing and fun. Even when locked ourselves out of the camp,🙄 the host was quick to come unlock the camp for us and was very understanding about it. I would def recommend this property and hosts for a stay.
We spent a lovely Saturday - Tuesday up in the area with our friends and this was truly such a gem of a spot. We had the full spectrum of weather, so we were able to take full advantage of both the woodstove (wood provided) on a chilly evening, and use the boat launch and beach access on the sunny days! The beds were incredibly comfy, and my partner-who usually has back issues when traveling- had no issues sleeping and had no pain (a win!)The kitchen was fully stocked with all the pots/pans/Tupperware/utensils that we needed to cook, which was perfect since we ate most of our meals at the cabin. Pantry staples were not included (like oil & spices) but we brought our own just in case, so it worked out perfectly. We heard loons on the lake, saw and incredible display of stars at night, and overall had such a great time. We will absolutely be back!
This camp really is a slice of heaven! The camp had everything you could possibly need to make our stay away from home so homey!! Our family had such a great time! And the best part was we were able to bring our dog, who we never leave behind! The nightly price was affordable, the neighbors were friendly, and we loved going down to the dock and grassy beach! Our only complaint would be towards Mother Nature who blessed us with an invasion of white caterpillars that were all over the outside deck and roof (there were hundreds of them!!) The nightly price was very affordable, the cabin was adorable, and fit our every need!
We hope to be back next year! And hopefully can stay longer than 4 days!
This was described as a “Cozy Cabin” and the description is true. The cabin was warm and inviting. It has everything you need and more. The kitchen has everything you could need …. appliances, glassware and utensils. The bed was very comfortable. The living area is stocked with board games, cards and a DVD player with a varied selection of movies. The shower door was a little tricky, but it came with instructions. I didn’t use the wood stove, the fire pit or the barbecue, but it was good to have the options. In short, the cabin is “fully loaded”. The location in amazing and I was lucky enough to see it at it’s autumn best. The lake is close by, accessible and beautiful. The view is also incredible at night, no light pollution to interfere with the night sky. The town and various other opportunities for fun are close by … a moose safari, boat rides, plane rides snd more. There is a lot to in any season in the area.I only had a few questions while I was there and the responses to my texts were quick.I hope to get back here again soon.
We had a perfect weekend even without perfect weather. Thank you for sharing your space. Your cabin had everything we needed and it was so nice to be in a space that is clearly loved and used and not just constructed as a rental with high turnover and bare minimum furnishings. Thank you again, we’d love to return. And the loon tunes whirligig is the coolest thing I’ve seen in years, it brought me so much joy!
